We have stayed in a number of high end hotels in this trip but mahaweli reach was certainly the pick of the bunch. Great front of house service, gorgeous architecture and grounds, and phenomenal food.

Big rooms and awesome building. Lots of green, the pool is cool. Hotel staff were polite but breakfast was okay. The garden near the breafast area is nice and peaceful. We took lots of pictures before leaving the hotel

Spent one night. The room was not cleaned. One side of the bed had saw dust. The toilet was old. The towels were old. The breakfast spread was very poor with some dishes like bacon and the chicken curry not been filled at all.
Only plus was the view!

The Service from the time we walked in to the premises was excellent. Staff were very welcoming and accommodative to any request, especially since we had Children with us and such requests were more frequent. The Food was excellent too.

Stunning looking hotel in the most beautiful grounds. We only had one night which was a shame as we would have loved to make use of some of the facilities. Our room was lovely, clean and large. My only complaint is the sound proofing in the room. I could hear people in the next room chatting in their bathroom when I was in mine - it was like they were standing next to me. Also, could very clearly hear conversations of people passing in the hallway. The free WiFi IS NOT UNLIMITED so beware. Other than that, we found the food to be excellent and the staff to be courteous.
