The hotel pool was closed for cleaning the next day it was the chemicals turned my hair green and my silver jewellery black, when speaking to the staff member she told me it was my hair dye no apologies even when my eyes swelled up.
The rooms smell mouldy, although they are large with some cooking facilities.
It appears this place dose not care for tourists as the main population of guests are the refinery workers.

Wonderful staff beautiful room and clean awesome bathroom with all the safety features very good breakfast very good Wi-Fi excellent all-around plenty things to do nearby would definitely use this place again

First impressions...the lobby was beautiful and staff was exceptionally accommodating. The property was well maintained. Our room had a few cosmetic issues such as fraying carpet and outdated furniture, but the rooms were spacious and clean.

We only stayed here to break a journey up but the MainStay was a great choice. Staff were really welcoming & helpful, particularly as we had lots of questions about where to find things in the area.
Room was a surprise - large, had kitchen (reception even recommended delivery services or offered us the use of a bbq), settee, desk area. Facilities included swimming pool, hot tub. Breakfast was continental but plenty of choice - particularly liked the pancakes. Wasn't expecting it to have so much & after seeing how much there is in Beaumont wished we'd stayed a little longer. Maybe next time.

Staff were fine. As for the room, it left much to be desired. Few outlets -- when you need to unplug the clock radio to plug in your computer, you are in trouble. Mattress was poor, and my wife encountered increasing allergens as the night progressed, This place needs some TLC -- scratches on walls and paint chipped. Pillows were stiff. Breakfast was satisfactory. Wifi was slow. Room was small for two, considering the cooking facilities, and had only one chair for two people.
