I had an event not far away and decided to go boutique. The location is clearly the best part of staying here, but the staff don’t come far behind. They all treated me with VIP status despite being my first stay. They went out of their way to make me coffee, lug very heavy boxes down the street, locate an available room despite their computers being down and provided random essentials, such as shipping tape. They just cared enough to help with anything I needed!

Overall comfortable stay. Clean Room and very close to Beverly Hills area. Would have like the WiFi to be stronger and maybe a light snack in the AM with Coffee. I would stay here again and recommend for friends in town for business.

I had a terrible experience at this hotel--didn't sleep due to noise (both inside and outside the hotel) and a terrible mattress (also had issues with the toilet running). I've stayed at this hotel before, but only on the top floor where there are no noises from the room above to keep you awake and you are farther from the large air-handling unit on the roof of the building next door. So if you do stay here, request a top floor room. Also double check the toilet works before you're too exhausted to request a room change.

My friend and I had a pleasant stay at this hotel, but not perfect. Upon checkin, my friend gave her ID and credit card for our reservation, but we were then told we could not check in because she was not 21. We were confused because we had stayed there only a week before and it had not been a problem, and we were told prior that minimum check-in age was 18 AND it said that on the website. I ended up having to put the room under my name. This was just a minor blip in our stay, but it didn't go unnoticed. This hotel was antique-ish, which was unique and cool, but there was also kind of an odd smell in the hall. Our room was quaint with a king bed taking up most of the room, and a decently small bathroom. Although small the room was fine to share. My friend and I didn't spend much time at the hotel, but it was satisfying the time we were there. Maison 140 was in good location, as it didn't take much time to get around to everywhere we wanted to go, since we were located in the heart of Beverly Hills. Overall, pretty good stay but felt the rooms were a little overpriced for what you get.

Maison 140 is a charming hotel, ideally located in Beverly Hills. It has old world charm and makes me feel I am in a quaint, sophisticated Parisian hotel. I've been coming here for years, and think it is the best kept secret in LA.
