Overnight stay for business and pleasure

Delightful ! Not a luxury hotel but everything that it does it does extremely well . The hotel is clean , comfortable and the food is top notch . We’ve stayed in our share of luxury hotels in our time none would beat the Maldorn breakfast . Love the Dove soap dispensers in the shower and hand basin . We were allowed to kept our car in their car park the next day while we done our shopping . If I had a complaint it would be that we were unaware of the €10 car park fee before we arrived but it ended up to be great value . Would defiantly recommend and we will be back .

Pretty good, for Dublin prices

kallirache on 21/11/2017 20:20

Having spent almost a decade in London I am used to high prices. Husband grew up in London, paying £7.99 for a coffee is just another day. The thing is you get what you pay for in London. Dublin is different. It is more expensive than London but you don't necessarily get a lot of bang for your buck.

In any other city this hotel would have gotten a 3 star rating. It is very average. Immaculately clean, I do give them that. However, for Dublin this was a good hotel to stay in, especially as a last minute resort when all the other prices were more than extortionate.

The area isn't the best, I would not walk around it at night. Although it is about 10 mins from City Hall it is surrounded by council estates, not the safest. We stayed with another couple (they were room 327 and we were 401). They complained about some noisy guest on one of the mornings, apparently the walls are not thick.

All this said and done, we would probably stay here again, it is a good option in Dublin especially if you are just using it to sleep and shower. My top priority is cleanliness and location. It was clean and close to major attractions (although it lost points on neighbourhood). The bed is also too big, but that's a personal pet peeve. We are cuddlers, don't judge us.

Large room and bed

We stayed for one night on a short trip to Dublin.

Check in was very quick and efficient, there was no bother changing our room from a twin to a double as I had accidentally booked the wrong room.

The room was spacious and the bed was gigantic, we were both impressed. The bathroom also came with great amenities for out short stay.

The location was central and a short walk away from the main attractions of Dublin, you can also book tickets for attractions directly from a machine in the hotel lobby area.

I would happily stay here again.

Pleasant Stay

The staff was very friendly and eager to help. We had a triple room, as my friend and I were traveling with my 12 year old son. The beds were comfortable and extra pillows were available in the closet. We were not able to control the heat in our room, but our request was acted upon quickly. Our only complaint came when we asked for extra blankets and were given dirty & obviously stained blankets. These were also quickly removed & replaced with clean blankets. Breakfast was included with our package and was very good. Fresh eggs were made to order. There was a large selection of foods to choose from. The neighborhood was not necessarily the nicest, but we never felt unsafe. The hotel was just around the corner from the city sight seeing hop on hop off bus, which was extremely convenient for us. I would stay here again.
