Poor customer service experience

I only write negative feedback when I've given a hotel a chance to rectify an issue and they have chosen not to. As it often the case in these things the real problem is a failure of communication.
We had a need to swap rooms due to a very noisy party in the hotel causing the furniture in our room to actually vibrate due to the loudness of the music. This wasn't the issue. What was the issue is that during the move to another room an expensive belt got mislaid/lost. These things happen and I phoned the hotel within 48 hours to notify them of this loss. They told me that they would check with "Housekeeping" and call me back. Ten days later, I'm still waiting for a call back, hence me only giving the hotel an average rating. Even if they belt hadn't been found, it would only take five minutes of someones time to tell me and that ultimately is the thing that causes frustration.
Afternoon tea

Pleasant surroundings for a quiet afternoon with friends. Afternoon tea was excellent value with tasty and non traditional items. The restaurant was busy but the staff were attentive, friendly and helpful in particular Jamie.
Great stay

We have not visited the Leeds malmaison for a while but we're looking forward to our return. We were not disappointed. Since our last visit it has been refurbished. The check in was smooth and as we had arrived early the rooms were not ready but they took our bags and said they would place them in our rooms for when we came back later. This was a nice touch. The room itself was nice if a little small. The bathroom was a good size. The staff at the hotel were friends and always had a smile. We will be back soon.
Best brunch in town

Had Sunday brunch here a while ago and pleased it’s still as good. A buffet with enormous choice (meats, salads, samoln, prawns) to start then a main from the menu. I had roast beef which was delicious- served with Yorkshire pud and veg. The roast parsnips were nicest I’ve ever tasted and all for £19.99.
Deserts were only £3.50 each and we shared sticky toffee pud and treacle tart. Both great.
The ambiance and service were perfect. We were looked after by Jamie who let us taste the wine before we ordered it and was very friendly and helpful throughout .
A lovely relaxing brunch. Thank you.
Excellent Service & Location

This hotel is of a very high quality in terms of the welcome on reception, decor and overall experience.
We stayed on the “Weekender Package” which included continental breakfast & dinner. We upgraded to a full English for only £2 a person! The restaurant staff couldn’t have been more welcoming, especially Jamie. It was my boyfriends birthday and he even bought us out a birthday shot which was a very thoughtful added touch.
The location is ideal. Near to the buses if travelling to Elland Road and very close to the bars & restaurants if you want a night out. The shopping centres are also a 2 minute walk away.
Only small downside is the parking. It is extremely near to the hotel (Q Car Park) but we stayed for 2 nights so had to pay £24 on top of our stay. Not a huge problem but would be nice if that was included in the rate.
The bedroom had very cool/quirky decor and was extremely clean. Lots of wardrobe space, bath with shower and very comfortable bed!
