Stayed in the penthouse for 10 weeks. Never got tired of the comfort, the privacy, the view and the hospitality: Emmanuelle, Etienne, David, Jasmine, and all those who made our stay special. Becancour is fortunate to have such a nice place to stay near the St Laurence River

A Gem outside of Trois-Rivieres

We were a group of three couples travelling thru and had booked one night at Manoir Becancourt. We were all very happy with the choice. A wonderful Inn which will exceed your expectations. Beautiful rooms with all the right touches to make your stay amazing.

A lovely relaxing place to stay

I booked this hotel as we were looking for a nice high quality rural place after spending time in Montreal and Ottawa - and I have to say that is exactly what we got. The place has an old world charm, the owner and staff or welcoming, friendly and efficient and we couldn't fault it. Our room was one of the cheapest (we were offered an upgrade to a much grander one as there had been a cancellation) but was ideal for our needs that night. Whilst the hotel restaurant was closed that particular night (it is not open every evening) we ate about half a mile away in another restaurant owned by the same family which was perfect for us. Then the following morning we ate an excellent high quality filling breakfast before resuming our journey to Halifax. As well as the hotel itself, the village it is in is very pleasant and we enjoyed a stroll around the district before our dinner. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Wonderful B&B near Trois-Rivières

I stayed at the Manoir Becancourt for one night in the Marie Antoinette room, which the describe as a "junior" room. It was perfect for one and I think would be fine for two. The decor was really charming, with a blue and white theme, crystal chandelier, and of course, a portrait of the room's namesake. The room as an en-suite bathroom lacking only a tub, which I didn't need. The mini-refrigerator and coffeemaker were handy.

The staff speaks perfect English and are very friendly. The host carried my bag upstairs and showed me to my room.

The bed was fantastic with a luxurious pillowtop mattress. The free wifi works great, as did the cable tv and the window AC. Breakfast included an omlette and a selection of pastries and other items. An outside hot tub is available. Parking was a bit tight, and the shower/bathroom floor was a little slippery (a mat would help). It's easy to overlook little stuff when I consider I would have paid the same price or more for a generic motel room with an industrial mattress in Three Rivers

Bencancour is a sleepy little town just across the river from Trois-Rivières (Three Rivers), where I went site-seeing the next day, and about half-way between Montreal and Quebec City. I had an excellent, uniquely flavored BBQ rib dinner at the Pub Au Cochon Fume just up the street.

This is just the kind of place I love to find when I'm on vacation.

A great discovery, must go back :)

I was looking for a hotel in Trois-Rivieres and most hotels were booked so I decided to try this Manoir. I was enchanted! I arrived in Becancour, it was pouring rain and I was really sick. The restaurant was closed (only opened from Wed to Sat) so I was recommended the local Pub. I walked (didn't think it was that far, which it isn't but when raining and sick not a good idea). I was amazed by the food at the pub. You must try the poutine (with smoked cheese) absolutely delicious. Mentioned to the waitress that I had walked and she came back and said the other lady would drive me back to the Manoir. That nice lady was Jasmine the owner of the Manoir. Very sweet person, I mentioned that I did not have a bath in my room and feeling sick I felt like taking a bath. Since it was not too busy that night, she upgraded me to a nice room with a bath. I was so happy! The next morning the breakfast was really good (lots of choices) and the French lady from France at the front desk was absolutely wonderful!
I cannot wait to come back and this time try the restaurant as I hear it is fabulous.
If you think of going to Trois-Rivieres, I strongly recommend you stay at the Manoir. Only 10-15 mins from Trois-Rivieres but so nice and cosy :)
