Disappointed

We attended a family meal here and had booked for 13 people . When we arrived we were sat in a separate room which unfortunately was the thoroughfare to the toilets so all night people walking through. The meal came which was quite good and the service seemed fine until one of our party asked for some more veg and chips as there was a lot of us. This seemed to be a huge problem as a very rude women came over to our table took the chips away banged them down on the other side saying well they are all over here ! Then at the top of her voice pointed to a member of our party and said this is the women who wanted more vegetables!!
I was absolutely astounded that someone could have such a rude and obnoxious manor we later found out she was the owner .
What should of been a special occasion and a lovely evening was soured by one person what a shame . The rest of the staff were all helpful and friendly.

A massive thank you to everyone of the staff, you are approachable, accomadating and like a well oiled machine.
We enjoyed our meal, with a wide range of offerings and was all delicious when arrived. Nothing was too much trouble and even did something off the menu for our little girl.
We will return!! And recommend anyone to come here for a celebration. The staff enjoy it with you.
Birthday Treat

I stayed here for only one night with my daughter and granddaughter. It was for our birthday treat! We could not fault the evening meal and breakfast - the food was excellent. The owners and staff very friendly. My daughter and granddaughter had a garden chalet which was lovely and I was in room 8. The room was large, but being disabled, I found the bathroom difficult for anyone with mobility problems. There was only a bath with an overhead shower - no separate shower so I was unable to use it and a handrail would have been useful . There wasn't a clock or radio which I would have expected , but the worst thing about room8 was the noise from upstairs bedroom with people walking about - perhaps the flooring could have some sound proofing - and as the room is next door to the laundry room and very near, I think the kitchen area, I didn't have a good nights' sleep. After breakfast, I came into the room and the noise from the laundry room was so loud. I haven't been "put off" from staying again, but would book one of the garden chalets next time.

Went here last month and didn't order a main meal , I had several starters as in a tapas thing. Staff were really friendly and more than helpful. Soon seated and food ordered. What followed was amazing. Lots of different foods to try and loved them all including the squeaky sheep cheese . Recommend this place so do try
