Oh my baby, the best lodge over the Africa and only 3 stars?

Yes, we felt so welcome there, the staff was so kind and friendly. Every breakfast, lunch and dinner, we felt like guests of the previous century, very well behavior. And the room was nice as well, we were upstairs, so fresh, airy, we slept well. p.s. the internet connection was okay.

Wonderful location and ambience - your own private tented bungalow (double decker cottages also available) set amidst colorful hibiscus, frangipani and bouganvillas, and overlooking the vast rift valley expanse below where you can see groves of large Baobabs, Maasai people tending their cattle or carrying wood, and a fantastic sunset. The bungalows have thatched roofs, queen size bed with netting, full amenities and ample toiletries, lots of hot water, and an electric fan for cooling. Then there is the outside relaxation patio and beautiful pool if you wish to take a dip, and the open view restaurant where a wonderful buffet dinner and breakfast is served. After dinner, armed guards escort you back to your accommodation.
A wonderful place and definitely recommended.
Exceeded our expectations!

If you are looking for a decent place to stay closeby to Lake Manyara, look no further. Manyara Wildlife Safari Camp is excellent value for money, located just about 15 min for the park gate.
Love it from the minute of our arrival till the last moment. Helpful staff, nicely decorated rooms (actually, the best mosquito nets I had on safari), decent food.
Great view of the Manyara plain and the evening ambience is unbeatable.
Will be back.
Great Place

After a full day of site seeing at the Lake Manyara National Park, we were surprised to be housed at this well-appointed lodge for one night. Our accommodation was spacious. From our deck, we watched a wonderful sunset.
In the evening, when we left our accommodation for dinner, we were escorted by a ranger with a gun to protect us against aggressive wild animals.
After a good breakfast, we were off to the Serengeti, but not after staff had supplied us with a sumptuous lunch box.
Mediocre at best.

I wanted to like this place. Out of our 8 day safari and 9 different lodges and mobile camps. This was the only disappointment. The setting was beautiful and staff friendly but this property is the prime example of poor management.
On arrival, we were greeted by Sam, the guest relations manager. Who honestly spent more time on his phone or watching the tv in the lobby than trouble shooting the terrible internet service. It would've been better to say we have no internet so we wouldn't have wasted the time trying to connect. Honestly, we had 10x better connection in the middle of the Serengeti.
Our bungalows are a bit dated but that wasn't a big deal. What was less pleasant is that our first shower caused the entire place to flood! This was fixed but the lights in the bathroom went out not long after and being as tired as we were, we didn't bother having that replaced.
Dinner and lunch boxes are also mediocre. The entrance has a tattered "certificate of excellence" flag which I find hard to believe. This place is certainly NOT on par with any of the safari camps we stayed at. And NOT worth the money.
