What People are saying

Never been treated so badly in my life!

177advisor on 17/11/2017 16:18

Pretty basic hotel when we turned up but was to be expected for the price we paid! But the way we was spoken to by a staff member after they left a note on the door saying be back in 5 minutes! We waited outside in the cold for about 10 minutes before he returned and then refused us entry to our room!! DO NOT GO HERE

Dreadful place !!!!!

calyps047 on 15/11/2017 19:55

Well where do I start this place was dreadful!!! I have no idea where they got their photographs from, but our room was horrible. Wires to lights above the bed were just cable clipped to the wall,I woke up with an imprint from the bed springs on my shoulder, the plug socket near the television blew my hairdryer up and also the one I borrowed from the hotel!! The room was on the first floor but had bars at the window so how you would get out in the event of a fire I have no idea!! On Sunday morning the guy from reception was banging on the door as he had been ringing the phone which obviously didn’t work to give us an early morning call which we didn’t request nor did he apologise for disturbing us !!! The whole place smelt fusty and I could not wait to leave !!! On a plus note bedding and towels were clean but that’s about it .

Awful!!!!!!

Worst hotel I've ever been in, it smells damp and musty. The photos of the rooms were nothing like the room we stayed in, there were cables hanging on the wall uncovered, it's very run down and dated, the electrics in the room were not safe as my hairdryer blew up while using it, thinking it was the dryer I asked reception if they had 1 were could use, took it back plugged it in and that one also stopped working. We turned the T.V on then couldn't get it to change channel or even turn off. You couldn't leave the kettle on the desk top and plug in as the lead didn't reach,. The staff were not friendly and helpful.

Great location unfriendly staff

dutchguy429 on 03/11/2017 20:28

We recently visited Dublin and chose the hotel because the price and location were excellent. However once there we discovered the staff was very unfriendly. Moreover the internet connection is very poor. I asked if upon paying I could get an upgrade on the internet but this was not possible. This is one of the reasons I prefer to stay at an Airbnb over a hotel, the quality and attention is not the same anymore. It is really a shame because the place is perfect in other aspects

Great Value for the location

The location of this hotel is perfect for staying in the middle of Dublin. It's no luxury hotel, but for the price I wasn't expecting Egyptian Cotton and turn-down service. So here's my star breakdown:

1 star for Service - This service at the hotel was excellent! Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had an issue with our shower and reported it on our way out for breakfast. A staff member came to fix the problem before lunch, and was very kind and mindful. Also, night staff was always available to buzz-in. No waiting to enter as with some other places I've stayed.

1 star for location - The location of this hotel is probably the best part about it. Just one block away from The Spire, around the corner from the Dublin City Pass pickup location, and only a few blocks from Temple Bar. There is a bus stop for the airport nightbus just around the corner as well.

1 star for price - I was looking for something a step above a hostel, and the price for this hotel was so good that I was a bit worried I had accidentally booked a hostel. However, it's a quiet hotel with private room/bathroom combo. I had room 23 and it was a good size, larger than most European hotels, with an adequate bathroom. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the linens clean.

It's nothing fancy, but this hotel met my requirements for a room with private bath and a good location. The wonderful staff were an added bonus.
