Hotel was very clean and is situated right on the Marina making it a short 10min walk to the centre of town. The size was big and the kitchen, although small, had two hobs, a fridge freezer and a microwave. Everything was clean and well kept.
good vactions

We were here last October and think this is the best located hotel in Lagos to visit. We had a one bed apartment overlooking the pool/marina. The apartment had everything we could want and was cleaned every day to a high standard. The reception staff were helpful. The beds were very comfortable and ensured a good night's sleep.and to finish we travel with smilealgarvetransfers for the first time and they were brilliant..thanks guys
Great hotel, brilliant location

Just returned from a weeks' stay. The public areas of the hotel are modern and clean. I’ve read reviews of dark corridors but the building that we stayed in was well lit.
We were in a 1 bedroom suite on the top (3rd) floor overlooking the pool and marina.
Living area:
- There's a Samsung TV in the living room with HDMI as well as a USB port, so you have options of watching your own videos.
- 2 sofa beds
- Coffee table
- Dining table with 4 chairs
Kitchen area:
- Cooker with 4 hobs
- Fridge with a small freezer
- Oven/grill
- Toaster and a kettle
- The cupboards contain plates, bowls, pots/pans, cooking utensils and cutlery. So you're pretty much covered if you wanted to cook.
- Please note that there is no microwave. You’ll also need to bring your own tea/coffee/sugar, washing up liquid and kitchen towels/rolls.
Bathroom:
- Bath with shower
- Toilet
- Hairdryer
- Bidet
- Bath and hand towels were replaced daily
Bedroom
- Bed made up of 2 singles
- Lots of wardrobe space
- There is a safe, but need to pay extra to use it
- There was no iron when we arrived, but they brought one up when requested
Balcony
- Small table
- 2 chairs
- Washing line
The hotel is in a great location: Pingo Doce supermarket, the old town, train station and the Meia Praia beach all reachable by foot in 10 minutes. There are also a small handful of bars and restaurants at the marina itself that's a minute away.
There is a large car park opposite the hotel which we used for our hire car. Car park was approx. ¼ full each day, but I’d imagine it’d be busier during peak season.
The swimming pool is cold as it’s unheated. There are some broken tiles around the pool but it’s not a big deal – just be careful. Plenty of sunbeds. You can get swimming towels from the spa downstairs.
We didn’t use the hotel’s spa, or bar and restaurant so can’t comment on them.
We stayed in for breakfast each morning (bought cereal, porridge, yoghurt from Pingo Doce). But ate out for lunch and dinner.
There are lots of restaurants within walking distance so bear that in mind when deciding board. And in terms of costs, for 2 adults a 2 boys (aged 5 and 9), we paid between 45 – 50 euros for each meal (with a drink each).
Pingo Doce has a hot food counter (chicken, sausages, pies etc) as well as a restaurant. We had lunch there once which was by far our cheapest meal of the holiday! It closes at 9pm on most days (including the restaurant I think, as they were still serving hot food when we were shopping there one evening).
Contrary to some previous comments, I found the hotel staff friendly and helpful.
Overall, I’d recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again. And Lagos itself is a brilliant place to holiday. Glad we hired a car though as we went to quite a few places:
Portimao
Alvor
Silves
Albufeira
Beaches: Praia da Dona Ana, Porto de Mós, Ponta da Piedade, Porta da Rocha
Would have been a hassle if we had to walk or use public transport. Cost of hiring the car worked out about the same as private transfer (excluding the 50 euros petrol that we used).
Great view but that's about it.

Room overlooking the marina was lovely, large balcony which got the sun in the afternoon.. Room was fitted with a kitchen, and plenty of pots and pans and cutlery were available. The room was very clean (although a couple of times the cleaners came to us late, one day at 6pm) Hotel reception had the look of a hostel. One very small bar area. We stayed bed and breakfast and it was a basic choice of breakfast at that. Definitely no choice for children at all. We ended up having our breakfast out at a local restaurant.
The swimming pool area is covered with brick tiles that were broken away and lifted up in several areas and as you had to walk through the pool area to get to our room, you had to watch your step, especially at night. Lagos is lovely and there are plenty of really good restaurants nearby.
Well earned rest

My husband and I returned yesterday from a week at the Marina Club Lagos Resort, it was just what we needed, after a stressful year. The apartment we had was spotlessly clean with proper quiet air conditioning, and the little kitchen area was very well equipped. (You need to bring your own cleaning materials ie: fairy liquid and dishcloths to wash up with and also tea bags, coffee, milk and sugar). But there are 2 good supermarkets less than 10 minutes walk away. The whole place was very well run and we could see why so many people were there even though it was mid October. We could imagine the whole area jumping with tourists during the summer months. There are many restaurants and bars locally all serving good food at realistic prices. The one notable exception was the very large Adega Restaurant in the town by the bridge which served a "tourist menu" for 12.90 euros per head which was just awful, we only went there because on Saturday night people were queuing to get in and we thought that it must be good, so on Sunday evening we went in - how wrong can you be. Perhaps the queue on Saturday night was to get out rather than in! The streets were all cobbled which made it a bit awkward to walk on if you are a little bit infirm so trainers and comfortable flat shoes are a must. In short a lovely holiday hotel and area, which we would highly recommend.
