Good if u want to spent time only in resort

1. Its not in main road and only way to reach to resort to is one jeep which goes back and forth. The jeep is not clean and the ride also is not pleasant.
Even if u r ready to go out , one have to wait for the jeep. The road is not in walkable state and full of stones and mud.

Manager Sunil asked for Rs 500 if we have to go down more than once, which means once u r at ur hotel u cant roam simply.

2. Food is overly charged. Avg dinner buffet costs 450 pp, tea 40 for a small cup which is way to costly compared to other good restaurants.

3. Cleanliness should be more, and they should provide mosquito nets for night time. Other eco lodges i have stayed provide mosquito nets to keep you safe from insects, but here this is not the case. The insects are going to trouble you.

4. Breakfast buffet should include basic things like tea / coffee/juice. Its not there.

Beautiful property, great people

We stayed here for 3 nights and four days. A beautiful, tranquil property. 30 acres of coffee estate. Lots of greenery and birds. Great views of misty mountains. Very good homely Kerala food, veg and non-veg. Most of all excellent staff. The manager, Sunil, is a pleasing, accomodating person. All the other staff members are also really attentive and friendly. It's got a trek up to a cave. Ducks, cats, geese, and other creatures abound. Rooms are very comfortable. Not to be missed if you want a taste of bucolic Kerala.

Superb hospitality in beautiful location

We stayed for 2 nights, in between some busy sightseeing around Hampi, Hassan and Calicut. Marmalade Springs was a peaceful retreat away from everyday life. Sunil and his exceptionally attentive team ensured we ate well and could relax in the perfect ambience of the stunning location. We stayed in a Pillar House, which was spacious and had an excellent bathroom. In this accommodation, we didn't have a verandah, but we were able to sit out on the shared terrace in peace. This is an ideal place if you want to get away from it all!

Spectacular stay and a perfect weekend getaway with Nature

Have you seen heaven on earth? If your answer is NO, than you must visit Marmalade Springs Wayanad. You can say in God's own country Marmalade Springs is a heaven and this heaven like resort is built with lots and lots of love by Mr. & Mrs. Joe the owner and team. Nice place out of the city and surrounded by the nature. Apart from bird voice you cannot hear any noise.
We were a group of 16 who wanted to spend one of the weekends at Wayanad. We chose Marmalade Springs for our stay as we had heard there is mother called Sunil who takes care of every one just like a mother.
With the manager Mr.Sunils good coordination and guidance we reached the correct destination and there was a boy waiting for us. Your car cannot reach the resort as the road is uphill. However, the parking is down near a driver’s house. They take good care of your vehicle so nothing to worry. Our luggage was transferred on to the 4 Wheel Drive Jeep and we boarded it. The ride was bumpy, but it was a great off-road experience. The ride takes around 15 minutes to reach the resort and your joyful excitement start at this point. The resort is on top of the 2nd highest peak in Wayanad.
The view of the resort was great and we checked into Clean and well maintained cottages with best in class amenities and the cottage was big and spacious completely wooden floored with a perfect bathroom with hot-water throughout and you can view the entire area from the windows. There is a separate sitout to enjoy the mornings and evenings nature view.
We were welcomed by Mr. Sunil with Jackfruit. Food is the best in class in this resort it deserves a special mention - every meal was prepared and served with a whole lot of warmth and tasted great. They have a wonderful and excellent cook Mr. Vijayan the man with a smile always and Mr. Salvem also served us well. There is a swimming pool which was well maintained.
In the morning at 6.30am we walked to Dorai cave near the resort and it is a must vist place.Mr.Sunil will guide you to reach to the cave.
Those who like to have family time in peace and like to do something different than their usual routine must visit. I will definitely visit again few more trips one with the family and the other with my friends.
Last but not the least, mother called Sunil, was extremely helpful and is a great person. He is there everywhere and we can reach out to him for any help and he is ready to help us with a smile.

Nature getaway

This property is located at kalpetta.
make sure you get your locations straight by getting the best route to the property cause the google maps location just circles you.

Secondly this property is located in a little hilly plain so u cant take ure regular vehicles up instead park your vehicles down and the property would send their off-road vehicle to pick u up which is almost a 20min journey with sharp hairpin bends which is fun though.

On arrival at the property
Mr. Sunil - The Manager welcomed us and gave us a small briefing about the property.
It was an in-room check in and showed us the types of rooms available with them and we chose the wooden cottage.

The cottage was big and spacious completely wooden floored with a perfect bathroom with hot-water throughout.

The swimming pool which was well maintained too.

The dining experience was limited as we informed our arrival less than an hour but they made it perfect for us and the Manager was around to make sure everything went well.

Overall had a great time at The Marmalade Springs and will definitely head back.
