My family stayed at the Marrakai for 9 nights this month. Luxury is not a word that described our suite.
Positives were its location, very central to everything including cafes, restaurants and supermarkets. Pool area has obviously been refurbished and to be quite honest was the nicest part of the hotel.
Undercover parking was a bonus. Views ok. Size of suite was good.
Negatives were the general cleanliness of the rooms, especially the bathrooms. Pics on website were deceiving, rooms were extremely dated and the air con was loud!Fans sounded like they were going to fly off the ceiling and were too loud to sleep with on. Broken floor tiles in the bathroom was a real hazard, as were the sliding balcony doors- near impossible to open.
Honestly couldn't recommend this hotel to anyone for the price.

We've lived in the territory for decades and the Marrakai has always been a family favourite. The apartments are beginning to age around the edges, but they are still beautifully presented, clean and incredibly spacious.
We booked our stay through a third party website, however a cancelled flight meant that our Tuesday night booking was useles. The conditions of our booking were non-refundable and dates could not be changed. So we rang the front desk anyway!!
The man on the desk (it's a family business, by the way) was gracious enough to move our booking until the following night. This saved us a wasted day in Darwin, an extra nights accomodation and my great aunt (who's over 80) having to front up to 13 hours of travelling.
5 stars - we will keep coming back!

These apartments are very conveniently located on the end of the CBD. Close to Woolworths for groceries, petrol and Hungry Jacks next door and easy access to Stuart highway for day trips. Clean, good car parking, great pool and bbq area. Manager (Jason) was very helpful, well equipped kitchen, fabulous balcony, spacious for 4 and good size laundry. Pillows not great and apartment could use a fresh paint but no complaints. I would definitely book again.

We (2 adults and 3 children 10, 9 & 7) stayed in a two bedroom apartment in July 2017 for one night. The apartments are really well kitted out with a full kitchen, big balconies and large living/dining area – very comfortable for a family of 5. The pool area is great and was very quiet the whole time we were there. For the price this was great accommodation and we highly recommend it.

Start with the good, location is good, view is good, checkin and parking all good.
But if you are american you will find the a/c to be woeful, the room is worn out, a/c vents are super dirty, paint chipping off metal fittings, it was once luxurious, now it is a worn out rental. Also do not buy the wifi, you must pay per device and it is not working for two days now.
