Although we found the hotel experience positive, with a very helpful staff and acceptable room, our main frustrations were with the connecting experiences.
Difficult to get a meal as food was not generally available in off hours (and not particularly good), computers for printing boarding passes slow and outdated (finally had to ask the front desk clerk to print for us), and the shuttle times limited for our needs -- it was easier and more economical to get an Uber or Lyft to the airport. This said, we still came away feeling the helpful staff helped greatly with our frustrations!

This Marriott is a beautiful facility. The staff is extremely helpful and professional. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed. Valet parking makes for quick access to your car and the location is near major highways. First rate!

This hotel is highly geared towards conferences so I would say it’s more of a business hotel. The surrounding areas has a Mall and some shops but I wouldn’t stay here for a holiday by choice.
The rooms are large and the beds are amongst the most comfortable I have slept in. The valet service is very good and should be as it costs $25 a day.
The staff are excellent and very helpful. A special mention goes to Liz who served us breakfast. She was so lovely and smiled all the time.
The food is good in all the restaurants. However the breakfast buffet is overpriced and the scrambled eggs were always cold. Therefore I recommend ordering from the menu.
Be prepared to pay $9 for WiFi, which I think in this day and age is ridiculous. I haven’t paid for WiFi in a hotel for years.
All in all a nice stay.

We came for a week while my wife had treatment at Baptist Hospital and this hotel was very convenient with a decent restaurant with room service. I liked the spicy shrimp linguine a lot. The staff was friendly and the hotel seemed to be mostly for business and events. Cleanliness was the downfall for us. We usually leave $2 a day for housekeeping, but we forgot the first two days and were not happy with the housekeeping. The top of items like the lights, clock-radio, and tissue dispenser hadn’t been dusted for long enough they were a little sticky. Once we started leaving a tip, the cleaning improved a lot, but only on the surface. In the restaurant, they were under-staffed and despite being friendly, tables were left uncleared the entire time we were eating. See my separate review of Whitney’s. I would stay here again for the convenience of room service, but it is marginal.

Talk about a throwback. You too can stay in 70's - 80's hotel rooms (except for the flat screen and door locks). The problem is it is now 2017 and most people have remodeled. This hotel has renovated rooms, but not all. Beware. We're talking mirrored closets, old carpets and furniture even grandma would throw out. Not to mention the complete lack of usable outlets.
I come to Miami only a few times a year, and sometimes stay here due to the location. That's really all this hotel has. On the plus side, they have fixed the elevators.
If you want to spend a lot on a "vintage" Marriott room, this is your place. They even have "computerized" mini-bar refrigerators that (now empty) have slots for those little bottles and used to automatically measure which ones were touched. Haven't seen these in many years.
Most business travelers ill view this as another overpriced dump in a great location. Renovate all the rooms!
