Fantastic Hotel,clean and tidy ,comfortable rooms and public areas,Staff excellent friendly and willing to help,good food and the breakfast choice is great,it has a gym,pool etc even though i didn't use it one of the family did and was impressed ,Just a lovely relaxing place to stay.

This is a lovely hotel, don’t get me wrong. The room we had was spacious and attractive. Great in summer I’d guess with a patio and view available. In winter though the room was chilly and made us not want to spend as much time in it as usual ( a shame for the hefty charge taken before arriving). Breakfast was the best I’ve had anywhere, piping hot and tasty - superb.
Unfortunately, staff at checkin were slow and vague, not required after M1 mirth! Dinner Ok only, but the most noticeable thing for me was the barman who was intimidating and unfriendly. All in all, I could only say 50/50 for those reasons.

We stayed at this hotel for one night while visiting family.
Reception staff very friendly and efficient so check in was pretty quick.
Once checked in we decided to have a quick bite to eat . The restaurant was closing so the staff suggested the bar menu , which wasn’t a problem for us. Again staff here also very friendly.
Our room (254) was very clean and spacious , good size flat screen TV.
We had a very good nights sleep, bed very comfy.
We didn’t have breakfast here as we were meeting friends for brunch.
This is a good hotel ideally situated for a short stopover.

What can I say! I don’t actually know where to start with how terrible this hotel is! Booking a Marriott you think you are going to get a premium service and an excellent hotel! That is not the case here.
Firstly the hotel is very out dated and could do with being modernised. There is some kind of really old heating system in the building. Even when the air on is turned off, it is still very noisy! We complained on night one as we just should not sleep!
Secondly the beds are ridiculously hard to the point where we ended up with a bad back. The next day room service added a topper to the mattress and I wasn’t to bad.
Furthermore the baths in the deluxe rooms are that narrow you can just say sit in them. If your over weight you won’t be able to sit in them!
The pool is that old and run down it’s not even worth mentioning/ there was a flake of paint fell from the ceiling when we were there.
For breakfast we where squeezed that close to a fire extinguisher that I could just say get in and out of my seat!
Overall a very very poor experience, we will be putting a complaint in to Marriotts head office.

I used to love coming here for our anniversary but past couple of years too many kids are left to just run around day and night i come here for peace and quiet but cant get that anymore shant be going there next year
