We were celebrating an anniversary so we splurged on an oceanfront room. We were given a room on the second floor with trees and shrubs close to the balcony. I got so many bug bites the first time we used the balcony that we couldn't use the balcony again. I talked to guest services four times before we were finally moved to a different room on the 5th day. That's 4 nites of an "oceanfront" balcony and view that we couldn't use. The hotel didn't do anything to make up for this negative experience. In addition, it was so crowded that we had to get in line at 6AM to get a palapa. We have stayed there 3 other times and this was the first time we were disappointed.

We stayed here in November 2017 and had a very nice time. Our only complaint is it was SO crowded. The beauty of the beach is taken away by too many covered seating areas. I realize this is a plus in one way because there is always seating. However it is too the point that you can barely see the water. Also the water was not as clear as we are used to in other Caribbean islands. We will go back but will stay in a different Marriot property.

Well located, daily activities, excellent facilities, and a great resturaunt. The beach front is gorgeous, and you can walk the beach to many other activities and places to eat. There is even a mall a relaxing 20-minute walk down the beach! Highly recommend it.

The hotel was really beautiful. The restaurants were very expensive so we ate mostly off the property. I would recommend it had my earrings not disappeared after housekeeping left on my last night there.

Stayed in smaller lock off for this trip. We are owners of multiple weeks. Property improvements good. Good security. Staff friendly. Chair usage monitored. Those are the good big things.
Now the small things that weren't good. Took three times of asking to finally great Marriott number on reservation. No coffee filters in unit when checked in. Those were delivered after one call. Only had 1/4 roll of toilet tissue when checked in. When looking for back up, found there was none.Took contacting front desk three times before finally received back up. There is mid week cleaning and were given a time range acceptable to us, and the cleaning was done in an earlier time frame, luckily that time worked for us.
Appears to be a communication issue between front desk and housekeeping.
