We just spent a week at the Marriott Canyon Villas using a timeshare swap via I I
We had a great time - it is a beautiful property - within walking distance of the JW Marriott with adjacent golf course, more swimming pools all owned by Marriott - they offer shuttle service between the properties
It is located in northern Phoenix right next to Scottsdale - We had a car so we had no problem getting around town
Lots of shopping , restaurants , grocery store, etc. - if you have a car - there are buses nearby - not sure where they go
We exchanged for a two bedroom villa - with a full kitchen, very close to a swimming pool
The villa was very quiet , well-maintained, clean - I can think of no complaints
The front desk people were very friendly and helpful - Especially one fellow named Dominic
One of the first things we do upon arrival for a timeshare is go get the groceries - so we can blend eating out and eating in
They keep the swimming pool temperature on the warm side which makes entering the pool very comfortable when we went swimming at 7 AM
They offered free entertainment one evening with the Singing Cowboy - lots of fun, we bought several of his CDs to take home
Also took a class on making salsa - which we ate, back at the villa
In conclusion this is a very nice property

Stayed in the Studio Unit 2803 on the ground floor. Overall good unit with the room and bathroom clean as expected. The unit comes with a small kitchenette with a microwave, small sink and a full-size refrigerator (which was a pleasant surprise!!!) and a small toaster. There is also a coffee machine.
Utensils were all provided - so was dishes, plates and cups. The only thing we would have love to have but not available is an electric kettle to boil drinking water as drinking water is not provided.
The room comes with a king bed, sofa bed and a small dining table for two.
The bathroom is adequately big with shower and a tub.
Washing machines and dryers are also available (at the next block) complimentary with washing detergent also provided in the unit.
Do note that daily room cleaning is not provided and is only on demand and will cost you USD 31.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay as we rented a car - and there was ample parking outside the block. The reception staff(s) were really friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful stay! We had access to the JW Marriot Desert Ridge which was just next door but we were too busy on road trips to be able to use the facilities there.
On another note - Canyon Villas are near to Albertsons, Walmart, Fry's, Target and a whole lot of restaurants and fast-food chains - making shopping for groceries and food easily available.
Definitely will be a next time to Phoenix!

These are well appointed apartments in a good location adjacent to the J W Marriott. The Villa's have shared access with the J W Marriott facilities but at a lower cost. There is a shuttle every half to and from the J W.. The rooms were bright and clean and modern and some have views of the golf course.

First time in Phoenix, the room accommodations, we had a two bedroom typical Marriott timeshare unit very nice everything was kept up very nice and the staff very friendly housekeepers etc. we were by the kids pool which they were having a lot of fun, it's not a vacation time so most of the time we are alone by the pool, but we were a little annoyed to find out we could've been at the big pool at the JW Marriott they give you a pass and we did not even know about it till the day before we checked out and we were there for five days!

This is a great resort for a long term vacation. Our room was spacious and well appointed (though a little worn) with a nice balcony and a fridge. Check-in was efficient and personal. Staff are great. The poolside restaurant was convenient (with a great server!). There are several pools here which are great with comfortable loungers. We used the kiddie pool because it was usually abandoned, which was a real treat.
The location of the resort is a little far from central Phoenix and Scottsdale, but then again the whole area is sprawling. Free Wi-Fi is a bonus, as well as access to the nearby Marriott.
