Beautiful B&B!

We don't typically stay in B&B's, but saw this one online and decided to stay here instead of a hotel in the area. Very glad we did. What a beautiful building. Karen was wonderful to work with, and you can tell she and her husband take great pride in the McGrady Inn and want to make sure you enjoy your stay - and we did. The lobby area is most inviting when you walk in. When we were 'in for the night', we sat in the lobby area and did our reading, etc., because it was just so pleasant and quiet. Only one other guest was there during that time, and he was enjoying his own quiet space upstairs. The attention to detail is really appreciated here. A stained glass window in our room and also another in our (very spacious!) bathroom. We enjoyed talking to other guests while having our continental breakfast in the morning. An overall great experience at a beautiful B&B. Thanks Karen!

Best Place to Stay in Charleston

We were in town for EIU's family weekend and found this Inn online. I am so glad we found this amazing place. It was absolutely beautiful! An old church renovated into an Inn gave it a lot of unique qualities. Very large open space, a choir loft overlooking the common area and beautiful stain glassed windows. The rooms were very clean and well furnished. We stayed in the choir loft room that had two levels. Very nice! The owner Karen was very kind and ensured that we had everything we needed for our stay. I would highly recommend this to anyone staying in the Charleston area!

Beautiful B&B / Inn

One of the most unique B&B we've stayed. A one time church renovated into B&B, beautiful woodwork, stained glass with nice modern touches. Great attention to detail and preservation. Very clean and well cared for.
Even though we were a few blocks from downtown Charleston, this stay was very serene and peaceful, it felt as though we were in the middle of a secluded country side.
Kitchen was well stocked with snacks and drinks....we really needed nothing.
The owners, Adam and Karen, were very accommodating.
Is within walking distance to the very quaint downtown square. Walked to the nearby cafe for a great breakfast.

The rooms are nice and well appointed. We had two stained glass windows in our room. The bathroom was spacious. The best part was the common space: there were multiple stained-glass windows, several sitting areas, a kitchen area, and a choir loft that was accessible with a wonderful view of the first floor, and surrounding neighborhood. It is located in a beautiful historic area.

The owners are friendly and accommodating, and helped us in with our luggage.

weekend stay

I booked this on a whim for a weekend visit with my daughters. Karen, one of the owners, met us at the door in the evening and showed us around. The girls loved the choir loft room, especially the ladder connecting the two floors!
The hotel is beautiful with lots of open common space. Amenities were great: stocked fridge with water and juice, snacks, full service kitchen, laundry. The rooms were comfortable and the bathroom was very spacious with a large walk-in shower and standing tub. And the price was a lot less than any hotel for the same space.
I would definitely stay here again!!
