We have just spent a night in this excellent hotel. Rooms are big, very clean, the bed big & comfortable plus the Hotel is situated in a great location, peaceful & quiet, easy walking distance to North Sydney Railway Station & shops.
The Staff at this hotel are excellent, very obliging, friendly, a pleasure to deal with.
We would definitely recommend this Hotel and will stay again for sure.

I have stayed here before and appreciate the relaxed home-like feel. This is not a large high end hotel but still manages to offer the necessities. It is a large country mansion that has been updated to accomodate hotel guests with B&B simplicity.
It takes 2 mins to walk to the bus stop and 10 mins to walk to N. Sydney train station. Therefore, ideal for business travel or those visiting hospital. There is underground parking but we found parking on the street directly outside.
A significant point is that the p/nightly charge is the equivelant of awful hostels in the city and budget-bogan hotels, so it is considerable value for money in a comfortable, quiet and safe environment.

Stayed here overnight for a business trip.
Pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable. Brekky in the morning for a fee that company covers but not worth paying for, not a good selection and not particularly high quality.
Will be asking not to stay here again

First the only good news. The receptionist on arrival was very good and friendly and the bed was large and comfy.
However. The plumbing is so old that the shower didn’t have thermostat control so ran hot & cold, the wardrobe is tiny and the loo paper is small, thin and nasty. Obviously the cheapest they could buy.
On the second night we arrived back at 9:00pm to find a typed notice at reception saying they had just popped out and we should wait for a few minutes in the lounge. After 15 minutes I searched the hotel and found him in the kitchen. He then told me off for not taking my key out with me and for opening the lounge. He inferred I had broken into the lounge as he was sure he’d locked it.
We then went to our bedroom and discovered they hadn’t cleaned it that day.
Next morning we went to self serve breakfast at 9:33 and was told we were too late. Couldn’t have coffee as they had turned the machine off. All breakfast consists of is cereals and bread. No pastries or hot food.
They clearly don’t understand what hospitality means!!!!

An old home with lovely stained glass which has been transformed into a hotel. Walking distance to pubs and cafes. Breakfast more than adequate in a glassed in atrium in a garden setting.
Limited on site parking but if you are early you'll be OK.
