Just stayed here for one night. Never again. The 3rd floor smelled of stale cigarettes. The heater was so loud we had to turn it off. Very shabby and no chic. Breakfast was better at Comfort Inn.
All in all a terrible place. And almost $200 for the luxury.

This was an excellent hotel in walking distance to most of Blowing Rock. The staff were very helpful,and accommodating. They served tea and cookies in the reception area in the afternoon. We were there three nights and were comfortable and slept well each night. They provide a breakfast beginning at 7:30 AM. If we go to the area again we will return to stay at this very nice hotel.

The room was very comfortable and clean. I did have a problem with the shower...someone came up, and turned it, and it magically worked like a shower should, so I thanked her lots and felt stupid...then I tried to take a shower. I am not a dumb woman, but there must have been some secret shower mojo and I didn't have it, and since the mirror that backed the shower had a little crack in it, I did not want to try to hard and make it worse.
The TUB, though. It was marvelous. It was a whirlpool tub, and the jets took all my tension away.
The swimming pool was fantastic. The room had skylights and the lighting, because it was late, was low. I felt like I was swimming in a magic pond.
Everything was clean and over all I was very happy.

This is the third year we've been in Blowing Rock for the Fall colors and Meadowbrook was our best accommodations yet. The suite room & firm king bed were very good choices. And I was well satisfied to get a better price by booking ahead and satisfied since room rates always seem high during this time of year. Everything was very clean. Walking distance to downtown is also a great big "plus."

I've never stayed in Blowing Rock, nor have I known anyone else to vacay there, other than Chetola Resort (which is above my budget a the moment), so I was afraid Meadowbrook Inn would be a dump. As it turned out, my family and I were impressed with the beautiful, maintained grounds, our spacious room, and the friendly check-in. The hotel was well-kept, breakfast was the best I've had at a hotel, and the pool is huge. I've already recommended my parents and neighbor to Meadowbrook.
