reaperGfxon 04/10/2017 18:48I Stayed here for a week during the trade show in Bologna had taken up most of the hotels. Upon arriving at the hotel as mentioned there is a block of flats that is under renovation. Not particularly the hotels fault just the area needs doing up.
I was able to get into the room slightly earlier than the checkin time as i had arrived early to give my previous hotel time to clean the room for their next guests and i don't mind hanging around as gives me a chance to scope out the area. almost directly out the front of the hotel on the other side of the road is a small shop that sells most essentials. Further up in Calderara is a Coop.
The hotel staff are all very welcoming and after my checkin were welcoming by name so that was a nice touch. The room was very spacious and clean. Wifi was good and i have no complaints about the restaurant. Breakfast i would personally avoid the cereal as it tasted like they had been in there a while.
If you don't have a car then you will feel stranded. There is a bus (91) that runs past the hotel but its usually very busy and does not run late into the night so most of your journeys will require a taxi and its not particularly cheap neither. The reason why is when you call a taxi in Italy they start the meter from wherever they are so most taxi that arrive to the hotel will already have 8 euros on the meter.
So for me, Yes as previous comments suggest the hotel does need bringing upto standards but renovations cost money and with the majority of tourists staying in Bologna then there is not much money coming in. But i enjoyed my stay here it could have been a lot worse but pleasantly surprised i guess would sum it up.
Didn't even venture further than the car park
Caroline Pon 16/08/2017 22:03Had one night booked for my family in August. I booked this because the hotels photos looked ok. We arrived in the hotel car park and couldn't believe our eyes. The hotel was tagged onto a derelict block of flats and we didn't feel safe here at all. We decided not to go in and and booked another hotel elsewhere where we felt safe. I can't comment on the interior but the exterior was like extremely disappointing and not inviting at all!
Staff very kind and helpful, hotel outdated and scruffy
Amelia Mon 27/07/2017 10:02We stayed our first night in Italy when it was tremendously hot. The air conditioning in one of the rooms simply did not work. We were 5 people and had three rooms. We complained to reception and they sent a technician straight away - no change. We complained again and they found another room for us, which had been recently refurbished.
The hotel is on one side of a hideous cement block building which looks like something our of a stalag movie! But it was cheap, near the airport and convenient for our flights in and out.

jmltravellerson 05/07/2017 23:19Poor old 60's hotel on an industrial estate. It was near the airport the only plus. Air conditioning did not work, food poor. It was a disaster and not recommended. You could here the airport noise. Thank goodness we only had one night here. Never ever stay here

as son 01/06/2017 07:29This hotel was a disaster. We made a reservation just because it was near airport and apparently had a "transportation to airport". FALSE!
The lady in the reception was very unsympathetic. Bad manners all the way. When we tried to book a taxi for the next day to the airport, they said it had an extra cost!!! So we told them it was supposed to be free and they said that if you scroll down in the page, in very little tiny letters say "extra cost". So yes, they have transportation to the airport but you have to pay 17€(!!!) for 4 km. 17€ !!!
Same money that from hotel to downtown Bolonia.
The hotel is a little bit old, but room was nice.
So, IT IS NOT WORTHY TO STAY IN THIS HOTEL. Much better go to a hotel in downtown with a real free transportation service.
Bad experience.
