Group tour
Footplateon 07/11/2017 09:0127 of us were booked here. Part of a group tour. It is a very good hotel with an excellent restaurant and breakfast room. Lovely big rooms. Bar service was the only negative. Seemed unable to cope with numbers. Otherwise, a very good stay.

drpaulfoodloveron 18/10/2017 20:20This was a really nice hotel if you are travelling through centrally located not far from the main square if the town and close to the city centre the room was very nice and it was quiet the bedroom leading into the little passage has a door and that makes it all nice and quiet the management nice and friendly.
Comfortable hotel in a central location
jdmcg47on 07/10/2017 15:05The hotel is conveniently located close to the railway station with ample underground parking (at 12 Euros per night). We found that parking level -1 was usually fairly busy but we could park near to the lift on the lower levels.
The hotel is modern & clean & the staff on reception were helpful providing maps of both the town centre & surrounding area. Our room was a reasonable size with comfortable twin beds, an attached shower room with a walk-in shower & a separate toilet. The benefit of the latter was somewhat lost as one still needed to use the shower room to wash ones hands.
The breakfast buffet in the dining room was very pleasant with a good selection of hot & cold foods. In particular, the range of fresh pastries was excellent.
The hotel is fine as a base for a day or two but the lack of exercise facilities would deter me from a longer stay.
Food Service needs work
cubafanson 20/09/2017 15:44We were here as part of a tour group, and arrived late in the afternoon. We found our rooms to be clean and comfortable, and the hotel is very centrally located, good for seeing the rest of the town. Supper was a set menu with absolutely no choice, except if you were vegetarian. The dessert was a cup of fruit salad...which also appears on the breakfast buffet. Our main dissatisfaction with this hotel was the officious person in charge of the breakfast buffet. Not only was she barking orders at her staff, she berated a number of people in our tour group for supposedly sitting in the wrong spot. Most people in our group did not speak French, so her solution to that was to speak even more loudly. If the seating arrangements in the breakfast area are so vitally important to the hotel, then signs should be placed on the tables, indicating where various groups should be seated. Meeting such a hostile and aggressive person first thing in the morning, is not a good start to the day, nor does it leave a good impression of this hotel. You can be sure there will be a number of complaints to our tour company regarding this person's manner with the public as people were talking about it afterwards. This is not the French politesse we've encountered in the other hotels for sure!
Good hotel, good location
2bethanyalice2on 10/09/2017 23:09Visited this hotel on a WWI Battlefields trip with a group of 24 people. Rooms were a nice size with extremely comfy beds and modern bathrooms. Breakfast was a buffet with typical French cuisine and also American/British and evening meal was varied and fresh. Immediate location doesn't have much around but it is a 5-10 minute walk from the main market square which is lovely and has many bars and restaurants/cafes. An overall good hotel, would recommend for a couple nights stay.
