The room was a little tired, bathroom was average, the grout and flooring really need a good scrubbing. I am a fairly average build and when I sat on the loo I was almost sitting on the toilet roll holder! The bed was very comfortable and the pillows good. The room was clean and fresh, room service were obliging with our requests. Breakfast on Friday was quiet nice but on Sunday when they were busy was appalling, the poached eggs were rock hard in a bain marie.. We were there for a workshop @ the Mercure and we had, as had many booked in for the weekend but it appeared they hadn’t accounted for this, Saturday lunchtime they couldn’t keep up with the orders either in the restaurant or the bar ‘snacks’, some guests still hadn’t received their orders an hour later and had to cancel them so as to return to the workshop, having not had lunch, this is unacceptable. Next time there is a workshop there, I know I won’t be staying there.

Business stay for 3 days, overall good experience at a comfortable, clean and with a nice towards river looking view room. Some hiccups with Wi-Fi service experiencing interrupted access a few times, did not cause any further negative impressions about my stay. Breakfast is good and pretty rich considering the vast variety of options offered. Very conveniently located right in front of the river's north bank nearby business city center. Check in and check out experience was somehow too lengthy, it could be optimized further to bring it down to acceptable time, especially for those checking out. Could not enjoy the rest of the facilities other than room, breakfast and reception, therefore my review is limited to those only.

Very busy hotel, staff do try to help customers as fast as they can. Our room was smaller than I thought. The television was broken, only part of the screen worked. Free wifi doesn’t work. Parking is the biggest issue. If you have a 4WD you might want to look elsewhere for parking as it won’t fit in the car park next door. We went out and then came back later in the evening. We spent about 40 minutes driving around the streets to find a parking spot. We ended up parking in a side street overnight. Anyone who wants to park next door gets charged $36 for 24 hours so that needs to be factored in when considering the price paid for accommodation. Hating said all of that I must admit that it’s a clean and friendly place.

Location of hotel is good but if you are driving check the location as there are many one way streets.
I have stayed several times here. Getting dated ALWAYS under staffed .Dont expect concierge to help you when you arrive. Only maximum two check in staff so expect a delay checking in if its busy.
Otherwise the hotel is OK.

I stayed at the Mercure Brisbane for a sport meeting weekend and it was quiet, clean and friendly. The room was serviced daily, I ate breakfast and dinner in the restaurant and the choice for breakfast was fantastic and evening dinner lovely. I would certainly recommend staying again.
