Obey Mon 17/10/2017 16:04Hotel offers value for money. The rooms are clean. The shower was quite decent. I had a little trouble locating the hotel though as it wouldn’t show on the GPS. The hotel is situated in close proximity to most activities in Midrand.
Great hotel at reasonable price
cogduoon 19/08/2017 13:17Midrand is an ordinary sort of place but the Mercure is an oasis. Close to Midrand railway station and Uber available at short notice it is a great hotel in terms of facilities and service. I stayed there for four nights whilst on local business and visiting a friend at Waterfall. I can't speak highly enough about the hotel's value for money. It had everything I needed and was very quiet at night. Breakfast was fantastic and there is a good restaurant and bar next door for lunch and dinner.

acmkhatshwaon 16/06/2017 15:25The hotel is excellent in every way if one has to consider the rate. Rooms have minimum noise, high speed Wi-Fi and caring staff. Security at the gate amazing when attending to foreigners. Please consider fixing the online rate if I extend my stay on a visit.

The food (breakfast)- Delicious and sufficient also very healthy
I loved the gift (candy) that I found in my room after a long day. It made my stay pleasant. The hotel is tidy, welcoming and offers impeccable services.
Could be better

The room is small but enough for me, bathroom is also too small.
Air con wasn't working well and it does a lot of noise, carpet seems very old and dirty. The floor of my bathroom was dirty when I arrive with feet.
Breakfast is the usual continental way, but don't expect to have napkins or someone to ask for it.
Staff is not gentil, they talk like they are just doing a favor.
Next time will pick other hotel.
