Great hotel
VictoriaJ3084on 10/06/2017 22:52We booked this hotel as a stop over on our way back to the UK from the Dordogne. We have stayed in Mercures before and know what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised to find we had been booked into a concept room/apartment for the same price as a basic room, with a Nespresso machine, bath robes and slippers. It was lovely - a real treat after a week's camping! Within easy walking distance of historic Rouen which, again, was a lovely surprise. It is much prettier than we imagined it would be.
Good hotel option in Rouen
Sarah Mon 07/06/2017 04:07The Hotel Mercure Champ de Mars was a solid choice close to the historic quarter of Rouen. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and staff were very friendly. The hotel is nothing fancy, but represented good value for the money and offered a pleasant stay. Breakfast was also quite decent.

The hotel is very pet friendly, as is all of France. Of particular note is the excellent service provided by the very profession guy running the bar; although the customer care provided by all the staff was outstanding.
A night in Rouen
stephenaV2390CJon 30/05/2017 19:21We arrived quite late but were delighted to find the on site restaurant was open until 22:30 and served a wide range of tasty, fresh food, as well as having a good wine list. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. All in all just what we needed for an overnight stay to break what was for us a short stop on a long drive.
Excellent value for money
bandber9on 23/05/2017 15:27Our stay was just for four nights and it was a very happy experience. The room was clean as was the bathroom, a very comfortable bed and I slept like the proverbial log! A super hot shower was in the spotless bathroom. Perhaps the towels could have been better, but they were adequate and did a decent job! Breakfast had plenty of choice, including scrambled egg and sausages for those who wanted a cooked breakfast. There were different cereals, cold meats and cheeses, as well as more Continental options. Meals in the restaurant were of a good standard with good service.The staff were all friendly and incredibly patient with some of our "typical Brits abroad". The staff also tried hard to speak English where necessary. Altogether a very enjoyable stay and I'd recommend this hotel strongly.
