My friend and I stayed here for a girly weekend. The hotel was beautiful! It was modern and clean and the beds were so comfy.
It is a long walk from Temple Bar or a short taxi ride but it is in a nice quiet area near the canal. Definitely recommended!
The hot buffet breakfast was also delicious.

The Mespil Hotel overlooks the canal in leafy Dublin 4. Easy to access by car via the Port Tunnel, avoiding the worst of Dublin traffic, but has very little on-site parking. Within walking distance of both the city centre and the Aviva Stadium with lots of bars, cafes and restaurants close by. The hotel reception is light and airy, plenty of seating, and the check-in team are helpful, friendly and efficient. The hotel rooms are quite small but perfectly formed with all fixtures and fittings you would expect, and all fresh and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the room very quiet at night (5th floor). We had dinner and drinks in the hotel lounge. Good pub grub, reasonably priced, nice bar staff, all very good. The breakfast room was also very pleasant, the breakfast buffet well stocked, and all ran very smoothly in a busy service. I highly recommend this hotel, and would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Dublin.

Have stayed here a few times now, ever time has been enjoyable. The rooms are clean, tidy and well appointed. The facilities are excellent and staff very helpful. Restaurant is reasonably priced and has great choices

I stayed in the hotel for 2 nights, on a business trip. It's great that banks and major international companies are in a walking distance, which comes in handy especially if it rains. Lots of cafes and small restaurants nearby. The room was tidy meeting general 4-stars expectations. Breakfast can be Irish or continental - I chose latter, never remained hungry. I loved the lounge, where I stayed at nights - it's friendly, food and drinks are both good.

Really enjoyed our return visit to this hotel. It was just as pleasant as our previous stay. Great location, easy 15 walk in to city centre and a lot of attractions. A lot of good restaurants near by (try Keshk couple of doors away fab food). The Mespil offers free parking which is always a bonus when visiting Dublin, however there are limited parking spots but we've been lucky. Peter at the front desk was as helpful as before, pleasant and accommodating with regard to our room change. Certain floors don't have baths so if you prefer a bath then you should ask for one when you're booking. Room was immaculate with good quality bed linen, the bathroom is compact!!! Breakfast was very good. Looking forward to going back in February
