We were very disappointed with the accommodation.. No air conditioning, only a fan... Very strong smell of smoke in room even though was booked as a non smoking room. Bed was comfortable, but no headboard?. Not recommended.
bare bones

I says high speed wi-fi, but it was extremely slow! Floor was quite dirty, mould on shower curtains. It had microwave and fridge, but no cups or glasses, no coffemaker or hairdryer. About 30 minutes walk to downtown.
desperate for accomadation

We arrived in Victoria to visit our sick dying Mother,we couldn`t stay where we thought we could so I went online. It was a Saturday afternoon.Couldn`t find anything except this Motel. It sounded good online. The hotel owner was very nice.We walked into our room and almost fell over. All we needed was a place to lay our heads and thought we would stay 3 nights.Couldn`t dry my hair in the bathroom,no plug. The walls were looking like we were in a war zone.Decor...none.Everythin in that place was needing an update. The pillows were like baby pillows. No place to hang anything I didn`t want to put anything on the floor due to the shape of everything.I would of rather camped.Do not stay there!! We arrived with people smoking pot in the parking lot.Had to hike up stairs to the room. The place needs to be demolished.

Nothing about the hotel itself. The owners were friendly enough.
Cons: Outdated, entire room including bathroom needs major overhaul, Closet doors, pictures on the walls. Needs sprucing up, and updated.
Location: Across the street from transit bus parking lot, homeless shelters near by, behind tire shop, not a good location.
We booked this hotel online, after reading reviews and looking at pictures we were optimistic that the hotel would be ok and not as bad as it sounded. With new management we decided to give it a try. What a mistake that was. Registration went smoothly, the new owners were friendly. I became suspicious when I was handed a room key, not a card pass and when the owner mentioned there were a few homeless shelters in the area. Upon going outside we noticed some shady looking people hanging around the hotel and I became concerned for our safety. The room had been redone looked relatively clean, but was bare, a bed, 2 old card table chairs, a small fridge, no doors on closet, no pictures just bare walls, floors were dirty. We left and when we returned a man was sitting outside chain smoking and obviously lived there. SCARY, did not even want to get out of the car. It was getting late and had no choice but to stay the night. Spoke to the owners said we would be checking out the next day and would like a refund for the remaining 2 nights. He did agree to give us a full refund and we did stay the one night. We did not sleep well, we were woken up by an alarm going off at the transit bus parking lot next door, just did not feel safe there.
