We stayed at the Haveli in Oct this year. It was wonderful. we had a room that was on the corner so we had a very good view of the lake. Transport is not a problem. there are Tuk Tuks aplenty. our tour operator organised a tukk tuk to take us through the beautiful .ancient streets.
The Haveli was so quirky. beautifully decorated rooms , really good Air Con., plus a ceiling fan .
comfy, clean and the staff are great. nice Breakfast.
Harish, i hope i have spelled his name right, is fantastic. every night we sat in the Haveli shop having a great talk.
Love this place.
want to go back a million times.
Good Hotel on a budget

The hotel is in the old city area of Udaipur very close to the City Palace. The service within the hotel is good & they also aid you with local travel arrangements.
The rooms are small with space only for bed & bathroom.
decent hotel.

I really loved my stay here. We booked a corner lake view room and it was amazing. I couldn't believe the hotel was only one and a half stars! The room itself was simple and quite small but the attention to detail in the artworks and blessing to suit the heritage Rajasthani style made it very ambient. The manager is quite helpful and when conducted a cooking class for us. The food available is only veg but it's quite tasty. They also have alcohol if you ask (though it's not on the menu). Mewar is definitely a good choice for someone wanting to stay in the heart of Lal Ghat but just remember that only rickshaws can reach the hotel due to the narrow streets.
Good Heritage type hotel

Small hotel at Lal Ghat area with total 10 rooms. Walkable distance to City palace, Jagdish Temple from hotel.
There check in time is 12 noon, but my bus reached udaipur at early morning. I opted for Deluxe room but that was not vacant at 8AM, they provide me alternative room till my room gets vacant. Really appreciate their service. Staff is polite & very helpful to plan & guide for local tour.
We got 204 room no., which has little bit cross view of Lake Pichola. Room no. 203 & 202 has best view.
Rooms are of small size but hotel has touch of Rajasthan traditional heritage look. No parking is available & very difficult to take car there.
They have roof top restaurant with good view & arrange candle light dinner at night on terrace.
Overall worth to stay in this hotel :)
