Stuck in the middle of nowhere

This is a lovely hotel, modern and spacious with a lovely pool. Only problem is that it is stuck out in the middle of nowhere, which is fine if you have a car, but not so good if you don't. We didn't realize that the season finishes at the end of August in Italy; consequently there were no restaurants around and the nearest supermarket was a 25 minute walk away. If you wanted to go anywhere - just to the station, it was a 10 euro taxi ride away. The fact that it is so remote is not really mentioned in the advertisements.
The hotel makes its money from hosting wedding receptions. These take place most evenings/afternoons and so we had to leave the pool area at lunch time generally to allow the staff to prepare. The wedding receptions were a bit of a conveyor belt affair and we felt that we had paid to use the facilities but were not able to do so. There was a beach nearby, but its not very nice and we were told by the life guard that we were not able to have the umbrella up due to the wind - so just burned instead!!. The camping site nearby had a bar that served lovely food - mainly just pizza and pasta but it was very good and reasonable. If it hadn't been for that bar, I think we would have starved. Its a bit of a stretch of the imagination to call this the Amalfi coast to be honest. So, nice hotel but would not go again.
Stars? just for the pool...

Would had expected something better for a four stars hotel...ok the swimming pool is very nice but, as for the rooms of the resort, the frigo-bar is empty, the bar closes at 23 with no possibility to eat even some snacks...the air conditioning was noisy, as well as the guests of the wedddings that take place in the garden quite every evening (the garden will be reserved to them...), the shower was old-fashioned and not so clean, not every receptionist was very kind and we had just one key for the room as we were three!

Italys secret hideaway...lovely hotel with private beach nearby. Will need a car as there is only one mini market (by the beach) and two restaurants close by with no local buses. Staff friendly with limited English spoken. Loads to see tourist wise, would highly recommend private tours. Please note, When a function is being held at the hotel the pool will be closed from 1.00pm. No bar poolside ...... would I go back...in a heartbeat ❤️
Fantastic resort hotel near beach and Greek ruins

We are a family of five (parents and three children) and really enjoyed our stay at the Minerva. We stayed in one of the apartments that have two bedrooms and a living room plus a deck. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool is completely amazing and though we could not be in it if there was a wedding, we just enjoyed the pool in the morning and went to the beach to swim in the warm Mediterranean in the afternoons. The hotel has privileges at a private Lido just 5 minutes walking distance; the beach facilities (bathroom, showers, convenience store) are great and the sand, water and surrounding mountains are beautiful. While here, we visited the Greek ruins and forum in Paestum and also visited Tenuta Vannulo, an organic buffalo mozzarella farm. The hotel provided bikes and we used those to ride into town and back. We all really liked the big variety of offerings for breakfast and the dinners (we did half board) were great, too, with enough selection that even our three kids were happy. We hardly speak Italian (just the most basic phrases) and the staff were very proficient in English and helped us with every question or concern we had. We really enjoyed our stay here and hope to return!
Nice hotel friendly staff.

Lovely hotel, great if you are having a wedding, lovely pool area but no pool bar, remote location not a lot to see except the temples which are beautiful. Staff very friendly, and food was great but I would not stay again.
