hi,we had a bad experience with people at ghar mitbavkaranche...our total amount was 9400 rs....of which they made us pay 5000 as advance...i did neft transaction...i informed them on whatsapp ...they were ok with it and actually very freindly until then ....but didnt give us any receipt for our transactions........nor did they tell us their cancellation policy...but considering them as people from konkan even i said ok with it and went ahead with the planning....our journey got cancelled at the last moment as it was a period during ganpati....and the trains were full...so we could not board the train even though we had reserved seats....ours was a huge group of ten ...2 senior citizens and two kids were among our group of ten...so we didnt take the risk and cancelled our trip...
i informed them about the same...for which mr.mitbavkar told us that they will send the refund and will inform me on whatsapp....i was happy for they were not being very professional and giving us the refund...mrs mitbavkar was supposed to do the transactions....after 6-7 days i called them up..but mr mitbavkar told that his wife was out of station and will call me up once she is back..she called up after 11 days..saying they cant give the refund as all terms and conditions are there in their website....so i requested her to give atleast 50-70% of the total amount given as advance...so they gave us an option to visit them in this month sometime ....but we r busy and were not planning anything and asked for refund instead as it was promised by mr.mitbavkar......she didint agree with this and said they are highly professional and cant do the refund...so i want to say if they were so highly professional then why did they take rs. 5000 from us which is not 1/2 of the total amount ..also they didn't send any acknowledgement or receipt for the transaction done....
if we have to go by the word of mouth they should give us few amount as refund if not full...and if they are true professionals then they should provide us all the details like cancellation policies receipts etc....
but they have not done both ....one more thing they are ready to send us receipt now after cancellation ..what kind of professional attitude is this...i want justice for my money invested .

Had been there on 5th feb 2017 for lunch with my family. After reading thy reviews on trip advisor been there for lunch with my family. We were thy only members for lunch on that day. Ordered surmai thali & prawns fry. Ahha prawns fry n surmai fry were not fresh. Really not worth. Rates are too high. U can have good food @ other hotels nearby. Only hype about Mithabhavkar...

This homestay is the best near tarkarli . just 5 min walkable distance from tarkarli beach. the rooms n its surrounding is clean n beautiful.there r many trees and small mountain near to it. if u get up early like say 6am u can spot many different types of birds on these trees. the owner of this homestay MR. Mithilesh was very very helpfull . he guided us how to cover places around tarkarli ( vengurla, sawanthwadi , vijaydurga etc) he also helped us in arranging taxi and auto too. we went there on 25th jan to 29th jan 2017. we stayed on first floor . cleanliness in room and around was too good. Food here is the best . they use there home masala which is good then hotels. the food tastes awesome and perfect malvani taste . we had our breakfast and dinner here only . once u taste u cant avoid. in all a five star rating from me out of 5. excellent to stay and food is awesome . whenever i will visit next time Mithbavkar's Homestay is the place to stay. u can book there rooms by telephonic talks and transfer money online they will guide u about the money transfer.

Stayed in Ghar Mithbavkar's in Dec 2016 with family for 3 nights. One of the best homestay I have experienced till date. The rooms/cottage are surrounded by "Wadi" on all sides. A small stream flows on one side and at the back is a hill. Beach is about 5 mins walk. early morning walk to the beach or to the hill was a great experience. true experience of nature.The rooms on the first floor are spacious and well equipped. Service is excellent and prompt. quality of food was awesome. fish was fresh and truly prepared in Malvan style. Ukadiche Modak were delicious. Enough place for kids to play around. Strongly recommend this place.

Went with Friends ordered Pomfret than so they got us Three options for 500 800 1200 each ... we ordered two 500 and 800 they served both portion same exactly but charged 800 for each just walking 30 meter mtdc tarkarli restaurants you get it for 350 rs with a thali also....not Worthy to visit ...please avoid visiting. ..Find MTDC Tarkarli and Get Food there same taste everything. ..Learned lessons from experience now don't you learn from it ...just learn from words ....
