a good priced hotel listed as 4 start but really is a good 3 star.
Check in staff are OK for India, I don't mean in a derogatory way but that India has not really got the same customer ethos as a lot of countries. They varied from the helpful to the ignorant in this hotel.
Rooms are a bit worn but comfortable, the hot water pressure in the evenings is very low on 4th floor but adequate in the morning.
Location is excellent, out of the centre but lots of bars and restaurants just a hundred metres away.
Breakfast is average with limited choice but ok for the price.
would I stay again, Yes.

Stayed there for few days in Feb 2017 (1st and 2nd Feb). Great place to stay. Complete luxury. Floor is completely on carpet so no cleanliness issues. Very peaceful and spacious! Awesome service! Its right opposite the world famous Kulcha Land and adjacent to Holiday Inn! Service could be improved as it takes 30 mins for In-room orders. Buffet was sumptuous and there was lot of variety. Lot of foreigners too in the hotel. The Golden temple is at walking distance too. Overall a great place for both business and family trip.

We selected this hotel on recommendation of a friend. We stayed for 2 nights and had a pleasant experience. The rooms are old but are clean. The food is good and the service is ok.
We had booked a regular room but then upgraded to the suite after reaching the hotel.
Wish the hotel management decides to renovate the rooms soon.

Location is too far from the Golden temple. Reception staff are not very welcoming. We asked for a guide to see the temple and the changing of the guards at the border (1/2 day tour) for 1800 INRs and we were surprised to learn that the driver was not included and required adding 2200 INRs... we were told (not asked) to pay cash and upfront for the deal. No receipt. Most annoying.
The room was mediocre and unclean. The carpet was dirty and the bathroom was less than desirable for a hotel of this class. However, some members of the restaurant staff were nice and we were helped immediately when had trouble with the room safe. Breakfast was very good.

It's a nice and warm place. Food excellent and their is USP.
The rooms at nice but should have a better view.
Also the washrooms need renovation.
The pool is good and the reception people extremely helpful.
