the hotel is great, very clean and the rooms are very clean and big. The location of the hotel is great and the staff is helpful and friendly. Also, the breakfast was great and I will surely come back.

Went to Moderno Hotel Bari. Very clean, spacious rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Abundant breakfast including fresh still warm delicious bread which is ready at around 7.30 each morning. Short walk to train staion. Highly recommend it☺

I will start with the positives and there are many, the location to the central station excellent, the room, large, modern, and extremely clean. The breakfast varied and of good quality, the staff are lovely from reception to the breakfast room! However the miserly use of the air con is simply disgraceful! I could understand if it was switched off during the day when guests are out, but the air con is controlled centrally and is switched off indiscriminately during early evening (When you are showering before going out) and worse still in the middle of the night when you wake up a lather of sweat! This is clearly no way to treat ones guests and by thinking you are saving money by this strategy you will lose major custom, including mine!

Hotel in a very good place, close to train station, restaurants, pubs, historical places. Clean rooms, very good breakfast, nice and helpfull staff.
10 minutes by walk to beach. Aircondition. Simple rooms.

My husband and I with our one year old son stayed at Hotel Moderno, Bari for a night before travelling to Alberobello. We had taken a late evening flight from Pisa to Bari. We took a taxi from the airport to the hotel and the driver charged us a fixed rate of Euro 25. After check in we went out for dinner. Not many places were open. However found a great pizzeria with local food. The room in the hotel was big compared to standard European size. It also had a small kitchenette with wash basin and gas stove. I found it very convenient to wash my baby's feeding bottles and sippers. The night was comfortable. The morning breakfast was great with a good spread. We walked from the hotel to the beach road and old Bari town. Overall the stay was good.
