What People are saying

Blah!

fancyyIam on 11/11/2017 16:13

First off, no parking which is an extra unnecessary charge on top of an overpriced small hotel. Very small room, no refrigerator inside room, heater? Where the heck was it? Since it was a chilly night in San Francisco I wanted to turn the heat up just a little. But no such thing as a heater. Their WiFi slowed down my internet, not very efficient. So I used my service without it. But at least WiFi was available. 🤨Lots of noise, traffic, homeless people making loud noises. I was able to hear it all due to the fact that my room was facing the streets. The only thing I liked about the hotel was, that cable was available and an iron to press my wrinkled clothes. I especially didn’t like that there was a $50 hold for staying here. I already paid for the room for one night... Why the hell would they want to hold $50 extra on my credit card?? For WHAT, exactly? I would recommend finding a hotel with free parking or at least discounted if you book with ‘em. I highly doubt I will return to this hotel.

Wouldn't go back

Was very over priced for what you get, the wifi is shocking I'm unsure how they can even advertise it as having wifi! Opposite a homeless shelter so will get people coming up to you when outside quite frequently. Rooms were just standard. No hair dryers. Although was an experience staying in this hotel as it's so old and so many weird and wonderful people on the outside I personally wouldn't go back.

Old Hotel

This is my second time staying in this hotel. This is a very old hotel. They need a renovation to make this hotel a better place to stay. The Wifi was not so good. The escalator was very old and scary.

Tired hotel in tired part of city

Upon arrival we couldn't help noticing the amount of street drinkers and beggars in the area , the lift was broken but we were upgraded to a king size bed the room was clean and tidy but the shower was clogged up with lime scale or pressure was very poor the bath took forever to fill probably 20mins there is Wi-Fi in room but omg Download speed was 2 Mbps and it didn't even register uploading so don't expect to Skype or watch video , the noise is as you would expect in a city centre apart from the addition of drunken brawls from the homeless shelter across street expect to be accosted by beggars every time you leave the building no tea and coffee in rooms but unlimited in the lobby which is ok if you enjoy walking up and down stairs .

The staff on desk are friendly and helpful as are the cleaners who do a very good job in the rooms

This is a budget hotel so do not expect the Ritz as that it is not it's a ok hotel in a rough part of town but it does need some improvements

Good deal in the TL

Yes, the elevator is a bit of a thrill ride. No, the rooms are not spacious. However, for the price this is a great hotel in the Tenderloin, a neighborhood that is undergoing some gentrification, but is still gritty. The Edinburgh Castle pub is right down the street, a great hangout with cheap drinks. Several good restaurants lie down Polk Street. And definitely hit up Moulin Rouge for an old school breakfast.
