Good value hotel

My sister and I visited Alanya and stayed at this hotel between the 28 Sep and 12 October 2017. It's been well reported how long the transfer from the airport is so won't dwell on this.
When we arrived at the hotel in the early hours of the morning there was a mix up with our rooms which was rectified once we reported it and we were able to stay in our room till 5pm on the day of departure for the inconvenience so thank you to Hamfe on reception for your help.
We have never been to Turkey before so for our first visit staying at this hotel was great. We could have only taken spending money for the airports because at the Monart everything is included. We only spent money on pressies and tips for the hard working staff and brought a lot of spending money home. Special mention to Sami who has a great smile for the guests and who works very hard.
We stayed in 2 rooms so the rooms were fine for us very clean with great sea views. The beach is just across the road and drinks free there too. Thanks to Kazim for his help with the sunbeds and brollies.
The food was varied enough for us and there was lots of it.
I agree with other reviewers that it let the hotel down that the resteraunt was on two levels and on the two occasions we carried our food up the stairs it wasn't great. Most of the time the waiters or ourselves asked guests on the ground floor if we could join them and once we did we found ourselves getting to know the other guests. Not something us Brits are used to but it was fine and we got chatting to some really friendly people. A big hello to a Dutch friends who were really friendly and spoke good English (putting us to shame really).
There were not many Brits there but you Brits out there reading this can change that.
If your looking for a great value holiday then give it a go

Just back from 2 weeks at monart city. I went with my partner, and our 8 year old son. The hotel it's self was very clean, rooms were nice and cleaned everyday.
As we are British the food wasn't based for our taste buds, I wasn't very keen on the food apart from the soups. Not much of a choice for young kids apart from the snack bar Chips or pizza.
Wasn't very many British people at this hotel which was not good as everyone spoke foreign so couldn't mingle with any guests and my son couldn't make any friends.
Entertainment was ok, nothing special and engaging the guests.
The hotel is more aimed at older guests so for this it would be a fantastic stay for them but for young couples with kids I don't think it's suitable, my son was bored after a few days.
The staff were nice and joked around with my son, they work very long shifts and still have a smile on their face, apart from one girl who really annoyed me, dark curly hair with a freckle on her nose, don't know her name, she needs to paint a smile on her face she's lets your hotel down big time, very rude, anytime I ordered a drink she slammed the drinks down at me, or if she came to collect the glasses I went to pass her the glass and she snatched it out of my hand, never came across a rude woman like her in my life I would sack her if she was working for me.
But all in hotel is nice, clean, plenty of food if you don't mind trying foods you haven't tried before. I may return when I'm a lot older and fancy a really chilled out holiday in the sun.
Great hotel but

Great hotel in a great location only issue I have is it was like I was living in an old folks home for 2 weeks, can't fault the hotel but it does cater mainly for old people, this was my second visit but due to the fact it's 90 percent pensioners I won't be back for about 20 years, but as I said if your older and looking for a quiet holiday in a great hotel with amazing weather then this is for you, thanks.
Not a 4 star hotel

We chose this hotel based on location and previous reviews from UK citizens, we were wrong, the food did not suit out pallet. The location was good and the cleanliness excellent. most of the staff were friendly, when certain staff had their day off the efficiency suffered, but the hotel catered for guests from eastern Europe. Of all the sunbeds at the two pools there were less than 12 that were in the sun all day and many that were in the shade of the buildings all day. The snack bar, open all day and night with very slow service, does not serve pizzas on a Sunday as this is the cooks day off?? The food in the main restaurant was mainly stews and casseroles, not sure what the difference is but the chef seems to think there is. All meat, chicken and turkey, with fish offered twice, once at lunch and once at evening time and beef available once and lamb never, is the cheaper cuts. Who serves Chicken wings as a main evening meal. Even the chicken curry was small legs covered in a sauce. The vegetable were excellent. The breakfast was the same every day, Why could different types of omelets not be available instead of just plain? All guests were told they could eat in the A La Cart restaurant but as there were 155 rooms, 310 guests, and seating for 36, 2 nights a week, this is impossible. On day 2 we were advised to book quicker next year. The main restaurant is on 2 levels with guests having to carry the food from the self service buffet up the stairs themselves. There was a small patio on level 2 but no tables to allow anyone to eat outside. WHY???
Lovely monart city
