Smelled Faintly of Urine

Pretty much the usual Motel 6 although there were a couple things that irritated me this time around. My room was way in the back which was cool because I was right by the back door making it easy to come and go. The drawback was the loud door traffic on a Saturday night and that whole night was noisy, but that's not the Motel's fault. Sunday night was much quieter. My biggest issue was with the smell. I didn't notice it at first, until a few minutes after getting settled and then I could smell it. A faint stench of urine. No kidding. This motel is "pet friendly" and me, having had dogs all my life, could tell it had to be pet pee. I noticed a room getting mopped when I went for ice, so I concluded that my room was also mopped, but the mop water never changed, possibly just swabbing dog urine around. Ug! I bought a can of heavy duty Fabreeze which did the trick. Other than that, everything else was OK in my room. The pool area looked old and depressing. Wifi is free - worked great. Location is nice - a dead end street right by the interstate and McD across the street if you need a quick bite or breakfast.

Cheap and cheerful

We spent two nights here at the start and end of our road trip. The motel is relatively clean although the duvet and cover were grubby and pillows were poor quality and well used.The motel has no breakfast facilities although there is coffee and a snack vending machine. OK given the prices elsewhere in Bozeman.

Avoid if possible

We stayed here one night at the start of a trip into Yellowstone National Park. We arrived around 8pm. Our room was right by the doir, which was convenient. However, we eventually lived to regret this. People went in and out all night, most of whom appeared to live there. There was a lot of noise, including young girls partying, couples fighting. The icing on the cake was the man crying in the hallway at 3 am. It was quite disturbing. I got less than 3 hours sleep due to noise. The room is stripped of amenities, there are beds and a toilet. There were towels and a tv as well. No toiletries, none if those touches hotels put in to make you feel welcome. I'd never stay here again.

Stayed for a few days during MSU orientation. Nicely remodeled for a Motel 6. Wifi worked. Room was comfortable. Would have been nice to have more blankets. Room never got cleaned, although they tried at least once. Didn't have a "do not disturb" sign and the cleaning crew opened the door with their key twice, within 10 min of each other. When we needed more towels we just went to the front desk. Aside from that, I would stay there again because the price was very reasonable.

Cleaner than others we have stayed at but beware of pool area.

Has been remodeled and no longer has carpeting which always worries me. Clean except in shower area. Motel 6 should hire people that have cleaned in a hospital so they know what clean really means. Nice staff at desk. Careful in the pool - looks like it needs paint or is peeling. Also railings/stairs were wobbly and weak.
