We stayed in four hotels during our recent trip and this was by far the best one. It is run by a wonderful couple. The room was spacious with a separate sitting room decorated in a casual style. We stayed in a handicap accessible room that had the most wonderful shower that we had on the entire trip. They are in a renovated mill complex that is simply charming and peaceful.
They are well located on the outskirts of Brantome, close to many of the sights in the area.
There is a wonderful restaurant on site (again the best of the trip).
On our last night, the guests were given a gift. I have NEVER had that happen before. It was the most thoughtful thing that I have ever experienced. They are so understanding, that when we got so relaxed that we forgot that we were only staying there two nights and arrived back at the hotel on our last day well past check out time, that they told us we could stay if we liked, but we had another reservation and had to move on. Instead of charging us for part or all of an additional night, they thanked us again and wished us an enjoyable trip.
Knowing what I know now, we should have stayed here longer. Thanks for the highlight of our trip.

Stayed here on business for a few days, although it was out of season the family were very accommodating and friendly! Even received a “surprise” gift at the end! The hotel is very close to Brantôme so if you want to head into the town it’s only a 25 minute walk. Best night’s sleep I ever had at this hotel

We stayed for 2 nights and it could not have been better. The room was superb, in fact probably the cosiest that we have stayed in. The owners are very welcoming and they provide you with the very best food possible, real home cooking. The mill grounds are very peaceful and beautiful. Wow. It's a fantastic place! Thank you very much and we would love to come back, Raquel & Adrian, from Spain.

We arrived at the hotel on our way to a wedding close by on the following day. We were expecting a pleasant stay at a country hotel but got so much more. The welcome we received on arrival could not have been more friendly and with in 10 minutes of arrival our hosts had secured a manicure for my wife the following morning before we left town and as the dining room was closed for the evening [as advertised] a reservation secured at a nearby restaurant where we enjoyed a lovely meal with transport to & fro provided by our hosts. the room was spacious, comfy and clean and we ate a lovely breakfast, the town of Brantome was only a short walk or 2 minute drive away and was very picturesque and charming and as we had done no research on the area a truly outstanding discovery which will certainly consider revisiting at some stage.

We stayed for two nights in the Cassandra room which was gorgeous, everything about this hotel is of such a high standard, the food, the rooms but most of all the owners, they genuinely cannot do enough to make your stay special, from the very warm welcome to the thoughtful gift when you leave, it is perfect.
