Decent hotel for business traveller

Good for business traveller. The check-in is a breeze. Service desk staff is courteous. Room is clean. Breakfast selection is limited but the food quality is good. Area to improve is perhaps give more options for coffee as they only have house coffee. Most of other hotels are giving more than one selection.

Hotel is conveniently located near many food options in the day and night. Room is clean and classy though it's not sparkling new! Sheets are clean and bed is comfy. Wake up early for the breakfast! From the outside, breakfast area looks just like that of any other hotels. Take a step in and you'll be impressed with all the food options, fresh bread and juices. Large selection thus budget more time for it!
Book early though, family wanted to extend their rooms on the day of stay however hotel was fully booked!

Mutiara Hotel has been in JB for a long time. Quite a popular hotel. The hotel has a Chinese Restaurant called Mei San which is one of the best Chinese Restaurant that I have been to. I highly recommend the hotel and the restaurant.
Good Friday vacation

My Friend and i staying in Rm1002 room next to emergency exit door. For 3day2night .
The staff service was friendly , greeting guest with warm smile .
The only thing bad about the room was
- Wooden door chips
- Wall broken
- bathtub chocked, upon taking up the stopper is disgusting and like no one ever was or clean it.
- Towel have a smell of bleaching liquid and if is wet the smell was horrible. My Friend end up having rash on the first night. We at hotel don't dare to use the face towel to clean our face. We have feedback to the Housekeeping about the smell.
*** To play safe, to bring your own towel just to standby .

Let me give me the positives
Staffs were friendly. Especially the housekeeping. Quite prompt and generous in the toiletries.
I was impressed by a waiter during the 3 days breakfast. A Chinese boy, short with glasses. Looks very decent.
Very forthcoming . On the first day I asked for warm water. He served on the subsequent days without being asked.
Affable and gives the look of ever willing to accede to request. The rest of the waiters were friendly, but he stand out.
But I was dissapointed with the breakfast. Especially not refilling. Yesterday there was French toast. At 9 am I went to pick more. It was empty. I waited almost 15 minutes. But it was not refilled. One waiter told me to take a sit and told me he will bring the French toast to my table when is ready. Waited for another 15 minutes. He came back with some substandard pancakes. He told me that they are not doing any French toast. That was a disappointment for a hotel such as mutiara standard. Very disappointed.
