Had a two night stay in Albany recently. Gorgeous old house (built 1989 - I think), very solid, but clean, warm and inviting. Lovely decor. While the kitchen was probably 60-70's original it was really clean and quaint and more importantly the bathroom is a recent renovation and nicely done. Great location with only a short walk to York Street.

Location is superb, 1 min walk to main street. Very quiet location. Rooms are spotless and very comfortable. If you are tired of staying in hotels with the long passages and soulless feel, then this very quaint accommodation is perfect. Self contained with everything you need.

Very handy to central Albany, yet quiet location, AND we were able to walk to the wonderful ANZAC centre from MyPlace. Accommodation very roomy and comfortable, with all the kit available for self-catering. Hosts were helpful.

We are a family of 4 that stayed 5 nights in Butler House (3brm) across the road from the main accomodation. It was perfect. Spotlessly clean, super comfortable beds and linen (complete with electric blankets), large back garden and lawn for the kids, beautiful cottage garden, new bathroom, free dvds from reception, free wifi. Lots of old character in the house done very tastefully. Attention to detail is second to none. Just gorgeous.

My wife and I stayed here because we could cater for ourselves. We were delighted with the comfort, facilities, space and decor, including the roosters of the right kind - the type that just stay in art form and don't wake you up before dawn. With a comfortable lounge furniture, a table and chairs for two, a quaint free-standing old wardrobe, cooktop, microwave cooker and fridge - what more could we want?
The bed was comfortable and the electric blankets were appreciated since the weather was chilly in early September.
