After reading the reviews on TA, we booked the Hotel Napoleon for a 4 night stay in Rome prior to a cruise. It has been many years since I have received such personal attention from hotel staff. Everyone we dealt with at the hotel seemed to go out of their way to make our stay a great experience.
I booked our room on the hotel website because the rate was better there than on Booking.com and other websites. We chose a package for the double superior room that included breakfast, one dinner, and transportation from the airport. The double superior room was of good size, had a separate seating area, and a large bathroom. The sleeping area and the sitting area both had access to a nice balcony. The room was very clean and made up promptly every day. The queen sized bed with a wonderful firm mattress and good pillows insured a comfortable rest each night.
If you are considering this hotel, I would certainly recommend staying here and hope to return again. Other positive reviews here give a very accurate picture of what to expect.

Stayed here for a couple of days. This is a centrally located hotel. Since there is a metro station entrance a few meters outside the hotel entrance you can get to most places in Rome pretty easily.
The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. Considering this is a 3 star hotel the room was very clean and pleasant, though not spacious. The interior of the hotel was beautiful and the breakfast was very good.
Considering the price range for this standard of hotel, I can recommend this hotel

The front desk staff was extremely helpful in giving us ideas, directions & hiring us a car to take us to our cruise ship. In addition, we ended up hiring the driver to get us back from the ship to the hotel & the next day to the airport. The metro is right outside the front door, which is only $1.50 euros each way & and also outside are many vendors selling souvenirs, etc. Not a lot of restaurants close by, but keep in mind that this hotel includes breakfast & the hotel restaurant serves very good food with great service. The rooms are clean and not too small. Only wish there were some English speaking channels other than CNN.

We stayed here for four nights whilst visiting Rome. We really enjoyed our stay here. The place is clean and the staff is really helpful. They helped us with directions etc. The hotel is few seconds away from a metro stop which can take you to most places. The hotel is about twenty minutes walk to the Colosseum, Vittorio Emanuele II,the Piazza Venezia and the Capitoline Hill. The breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. On two days they gave us a breakfast box because we were leaving the hotel at 6.30am for our tours/excursions which was really nice. Highly recommend.

The hotel was clean and the room was spacious. Decor was a bit dated but kind off goes with Rome, lots of art work through out hotel. Room seemed to have been cleaned everyday. The staff were friendly and always available if need any help. Breakfast was standard buffet affair with selection of cereals and some warm food. Provided enough for the day ahead. In room had fridge and tv (although only could find English news channels) . The hotel was close to most must see sites of Rome, Colosseum was 20 minute walk in one direction. You also have a metro station just outside hotel. I found the Roma Termini station was walking distance away. Here you can get either train or bus to airport. I highly recommend this hotel if you are doing a weekend visit to Rome and need a central base.
