The Nayland is a budget no frills hotel. Nice easy check in with polite receptionist. Room was right next to the lift so was quite noisy, there was a pest control box on higher floors which was worrying.
The room was tiny, my partner is tall. But it suited our needs except being astonished there was no tea, coffee facilities as even Travelodge offer this. Really think they should offer at least a kettle. They sell tea in bar but when you’ve checked in last thing you want to do is have to go downstairs to just get a hit drink. The room
Was stuffy and hot but we opened window. Our tv worked fine but WiFi was payable.
However overall I would stay here again, I had no personal hygiene issues, extra pillow was in wardrobe, if they just had a kettle and cups be really ideal. Staff were friendly.
Location good along with other similar hotels on same road.

With our family with children to London.... then it is nice that you have 2 rooms together. Not 1 on the ground floor (above the breakfast room with all the sounds) and the other one on the 3 th floor. We were told at the reception that this was the only option. On the beds where blankets with is from hygene and comfort not wihsfull and there where stains one one of them. Because the waterpipes where going through the rooms we could enjoy every toilet and shower visit of our upstairs neighbors. The water in the shower was cold or burning hot. The ceiling let through zo much sound that we could not sleep until our upstairs neighbors went to sleep and we woke up when the went out of bed. In one room we could not see the television and there was no reliable chair. The breakfast was as small and comfort as the space in the breakfast room was, afther the second day we took our breakfast somewhere else to start our day on a good way.

Make no mistake, this is a no frills hotel. The rooms are basic and with a bed, tv. The rooms.mau be small but are not cramped by any means.
Breakfast is basic, cereal, eggs, coffee/tea, breads, ham and cheese. Ornage squash instead of juice was a bit annoying .
Location is great. 4 minutes to Paddington underground and station. Also there is direct connectivity to Heathrow from Paddington. Walking distance from Edgware, Mayfair, Marble Arch, Oxford Street, Picaddily also.
A hotel in Zone 1 with this price. Killer.

I arrived at this hotel on the 27 July 2017, in mind I booked a room for 2 adults and 1 child through Expedia, when i arrived I was told I only booked for 2 people no child, the manager was helpfull he fixed the situation immediatly with an extra cost ofcourse.
The hotel is walking distance to Marble Arch and Oxford street. Clean hotel, breakfast is Continental nothing special, hotel changes towels every 4 days or that is what they say, only shampoo in the bathroom no shower gel or conditioner. Wifi week, Overall ok hotel.

We have been staying in London for the past 3 months . On trying a few of the hotels on Sussex Gardens we have found this one to be excellent for what we need and have stayed here for the past 9 weeks . The management and staff are very helpful and friendly and the rooms whilst being slightly basic , they are very clean . The price is good and the breakfast ok
Would definitely recommend to all visitors
