The worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The hotel is old fashioned and basic - which would be acceptable if the manager was OK, but he is particular, fussy, and INCREDIBLY patronising, very rude and totally impolite. He seems to think his customers are stupid, and wrong about everything. I'm sure he is in the wrong industry!
The food is poor, and overpriced. He says it's great. It's not... Pushes you out of the restaurant at 10.30pm despite still spending on drinks. Take a drink to your room, and then get told off the following morning for not bringing the glass back.
You can't sit on the sofas in what appears to be a communal area, by the reception desk. This is for him and his family apparently, as we were told rudely, like we were mad for trying to sit there.
Breakfast buffet is expensive considering it consists of just brioche, cake, croissants, yoghurts, and cereal and juice. There is no cold meat or cheese, no eggs, bacon etc. You are limited to 1 or 2 small glasses of orange juice. The worst part is that you are talked down to and shown how to carry your tray and serve yourself. Veer from his method/routine at all and you get told off. He clears you from the breakfast room as quick as he can, watching over you like a hawk, clearing trays before everyone on the table is done. We said we were not done and he said our plates were empty so we must be, and took our trays - so no more food for us. Every customer is looking at eachother thinking the same about the poor, very rude service.
Unless you want to feel uncomfortable throughout your entire breakfast, don't bother with the breakfast 'buffet'. One morning the owner was even wandering around saying "s**t" repeatdetly!
Owners most common phrase is "I am the patron" so basically "my place, do as I tell you."

The Manager was extremely rude and unhelpful. Breakfast bad and not worth the 8 Euro price. Service dreadful. Evening meal poor. Room reasonably OK. Manager would not allow us to use the public lounge.
The Manager made us and other guests feel unwelcome and uncomfortable.

On arival, we parked outside the front of the hotel, the owner immediately ran out and signalled us to move to the side of the hotel. Booked via email for a family room and twin room with disabled access. ...no lift, the twin room was on the 3rd floor. They did swap for a ground floor double which mean one had to sleep on the floor. Those sharing the disabled were my elderly mother and my son. We also booked a table for 6 in the restaurant, we were initially given 2 tables, one for 4 and one for 2. After a few minutes the owner moved another couple off a large table giving it to us. He almost immediately demanded we moved to one side of the table leaving my mother on her own as he couldn't move between the tables. Despite having a 7 year old with is we were not offered a childrens menu, just one adult menu between 6, and no wine list. The service was slow, the beef was cold, the Pork was cremated and the Lasagne and Potato Gratin were more like reheated cardboard. It took 4 attempts to get any wine, and no wine list was offered, just a jesture towards bottles lined up on a shelf. The teenagers left after the main, so we moved to one side of the table, to which the manager demanded a sit somewhere else. I refused, the managers reply was somewhat insulting. They refused to offer an itemised food bill, and when I question the amount immediately reduced it by €6, however after a rough calculation afterwards, I think I was overcharged by around €15. Looking at other reviews I think we got of lightly, however we still have breakfast to go.....hmmmm

This place is truly terrible. The owner is extraordinarily rude and has no place in the hospitality business. He shouts and insults customers for no reason and even uses threats of physical violence. I had all this in spades when I advised him of a problem in the bathroom. A waste trap came loose and water flooded the floor. I had a full operatic performance of impossible stupidity, threats and rudeness. It was to late to look elsewhere and the owner refused any element of refund or apology. If you go here don't expect any better.

There is nothing to recommend this hotel. The manager was rude and fussy, the food was terrible and the rooms were cold. Despite being assured that the heating would come on 'on a timer' it didn't. Croissants at breakfast were rationed, as were the towels and the lights. We were due to stay for 3 nights but left after the 1st, even though it cost us - it was worth it not to be there any longer.
