I am staying very often for business in this hotel.
Centrally located - 5 minutes walk from Railway Station and good restaurants. In-house dining is acceptable but area is not very cosy.
Limited car park options.The rooms are comfortable with good beds (hard). Unfortunately the Belgian TV channels do not work.
Superior rooms have combination of bath and shower which is nice.
Room service menu is limited but good quality.
The breakfast is good with a wide selection of hot and cold dishes. Good juice bar. Printed newspapers!
Friendly check-in. Nice reception staff.
Highspeed wifi is charged for, and it is not always as fast as you may want.
Strong recommendation for business travellers. More pleasant than Mercure in terms of layout and general atmosphere.

The staff is very polite. The rooms are simple, but clean and spacious. You don’t need much more! I really enjoyed the food, too. The WiFi was very good as well. NH Amersfoort is definitely recommendable. :)

This was my first visit to a NH Hotel and I do not expect it to be my last. The hotel is located 5 minutes walk from the railway station (on the same road) and only a couple of minutes more from the city centre.
I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in November while attending an exhibition in Utrecht. I chose this hotel based on its proximately to the station, and chose the town as hotels in Utrecht were a lot more expensive for the weekend I wanted to stay.
I arrived late at the hotel and was met with friendly reception staff who provided rooms on the 3rd floor next to each other, a simple thing that not all hotels seem to be able to do when traveling as a group.
The rooms were clean, functional, modern and quiet. They were equipped with TV (including channels from most main European countries including BBC1 & BBC2), kettle, mini fridge/bar and writing desk. There is also outside seating at the restaurant, but the time of year and weather were not favourable on this occasion. The hotel also has an underground car park for a fee, but I did not use as I was traveling car free on this trip.
We did not eat in the hotel as being close to the city there was a good choice of restaurants within the city to pick from. It is a hotel that I would consider staying at again if staying in this part of the Netherlands.
My only negative comments would be: the price of breakfast was not displayed and while there was a kettle with tea & coffee in the rooms (which was very welcoming), there was no milk, just powdered whitener. Both of these are only minor points but maybe the management might consider changing.

Comfortable hotel close to the centre,
The Staff was very kind
Room was big and clean
Bathroom was big with soap shampoo etcetra...............
There is an Minibar available, also

The Hotel is just a short walk away from the trein station.
The rooms are well-appointed, including two sizes of downy soft pillows. The bathroom was clean, spacious and well-appointed.
Room service and the morning breakfast in the restaurant were above average.
My only complaint is that the hotel's wifi was not a secure connection making it difficult to access some of my accounts.
