You really feel that you have gone back in time in Trujillo - especially as you view the hotel for the first time. Castle like in appearance, the hotel conjures up images of past civilizations - visit the castle at the top of the hill to complete the picture. Rooms were great, beds very comfortable, roomy bathrooms and great food. No pool available at the time of visit as it was out if season.

Trujillo is a great base for visiting the area - only a 30 minute drive to Caceres. We had stayed at Eurostars Plaza Acueducto in Segovia (recommended) last year so decided to try Eurostars in Trujillo. What a fabulous hotel - everything about it... staff; location; comfort; views - ticks all the boxes.
Our large room on the second floor overlooked the main square (Plaza Mayor) - with great views day or night. There is room just outside the hotel door to drop luggage off but, as the small parking area was occupied at the time of our return from Caceres, we just parked up on the public street about 200 metres away. The hotel does have it's own Car Park (chargeable) but it is not covered and not easy to find in the dark.
Breakfast can be taken in the hotel, although we opted to have a coffee and toastie in the main square before heading south. We would absolutely recommend this hotel and will stay again if in this area.

Hotel was better than we had expected. The hotel is situated in a historic building, just off from the center of the city.
The setting, in a historic building, adds a lot of charm and cosiness to the hotel. Our room was on the third floor and was quite spacious, we slept comfortably the 4 of us (2x adults + 2x 3 year-old kids).
The bathroom had a good size. At night there was a weird sewer odor from the bathroom, but I closed the door and opened the bathroom and room windows and we were fine (I didn't make a formal complaint as we were only staying for one night).
Breakfast was normal, it had all the basics and fresh products. There is on site parking but it was full when we were there, I had to park 300 m away from the hotel, but no big hassle.
Overall, seems like a good option if you are just visiting Trujillo or making a pit stop during a road trip.

The hotel is located in an ancient palace a 1min walk from the center place and a good selection of bars and restaurants. There is a convenient parking although difficult to reach in a maze of small one way streets... Rooms are comfortable and clean but very simple. Being an old construction you struggle a bit to move around the building. Small piscine very useful in the summer but rapidly crowded. A bar would have been nice because there is not much opportunity to chill in the hotel.

We just checked out from the Eurostars Santa Marta Palace Hotel in Trujillo, Spain and couldn't wait to comment on this amazing stay. A beautiful 16th century Palace converted into a lovely hotel provided a serene atmosphere to our visit. The property has the best location in town. Rooms are very comfortable and provide all the amenities required. It has a pool that was fantastic after a long hot day. Breakfast is very complete and the fresh squeeze orange juice a nice touch.
Eurostars offers a quality product consistently. As always, it is their staff what makes the stay even better. On that note we have to commend Ms.Sara at the Reception Desk. Always greeting us with a warm smile and willing to assist in any query we might have had. Her customary impact is the best we've seen on this entire trip.
If visiting on a short or long stay the Eurostars Santa Marta is a perfect choice.
