My husband and I went to Nevis for a few nights to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We wanted something different, a quiet place to relax. From the moment we stepped onto this property until the minute we left - it was a fabulous, wonderful, relaxing experience. The service and staff greeted and called you by name. They were friendly and courteous....every single staff member. Don (the assistant manager) was on the property and he made sure anything you wanted or needed was taken care of. The property was gorgeous.....a step back in time. Nothing decadent or glitzy but rather simple and elegant. The Great House was truly a great house. Décor and furniture (and artwork) are the things that make the house truly special. We were a bit nervous at first to visit Nisbet once the two hurricanes had passed by but the owner of this property made sure this place was restored to its glory prior to accepting guests. Thank you Nisbet for a truly special 25th wedding anniversary celebration. We also appreciate your kindness in surprising us with a lovely card and bottle of wine to start our anniversary celebration. We are already planning our next visit in 2018.

We stayed at the Nisbet Plantation for 10 days between the end of October and November 2017. The holiday was to mark a belated special wedding anniversary and a significant birthday, and in no way at all were we disappointed.
On arrival we were upgraded to a garden suite, a very well appointed and very nice bungalow, and things only improved from there. The food across the whole of the resort is excellent, whether that be the delicious breakfasts, great lunches, afternoon teas or the fantastic evening dinners. The drinks and cocktails are also worthy of special mention as they're extremely good.
However, although the accommodation, grounds, beach, food and drink are all first class, what really elevates this place is the staff. We cannot praise the staff enough, they really made our holiday a very special experience and they deserve a particular mention. The way the whole staff marked the birthday celebrations was really nice and very much appreciated.
We'd recommend the manager's walk to get a real sense of the local area and you really do need to take a look at the whole island to get a real sense of what a great place Nevis is.
In short, I think the real test of any holiday is to ask if you'd go back? The answer to that question is very easy - yes and in a flash!

This hotel is beautiful. It holds such charm, and the well-kept grounds are spectacular to wake up to. This is best suited to those who are relaxed, looking for rooms with some luxury but have a natural, outdoor feel.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 9 days in May 2016. We were blown away by every aspect of the plantation. We often felt like we were there by ourselves, as May is off season. The food was outstanding. Every morning we looked forward to the fresh fruit juice of the day and banana pancakes. Dinner was phenomenal too. Everyone working at the plantation took the time to get to know our names and waited on us hand and foot! This was hands down one of our favorite vacations and we will definitely be back.

We returned for the first time in June for our honeymoon. If anything we enjoyed Nisbet more second time round. A few new innovations we noticed and appreciated were Tim's early morning walk and the addition of a great local band on Sunday lunchtimes. Patterson's pub crawl was so much fun we went twice. On this visit we hired a car and explored the island. I highly recommend that you do this. It was much easier driving than we anticipated though for the most part we stuck to the main roads. We also did the funky monkey tour early in our visit which was great fun and served as a recee. The other really wonderful thing about Nisbet is the lovely people it seems to attract. Staff are outstanding but it also draws interesting and fun guests many of which return again and again to Nisbet. The bar and all the activities are great for socialising if that is what you want to do but the mystery is where everyone goes during the day. With the various areas on the property you almost always seem to have it to yourself. Would I return? You bet. My bags are packed and I fly tomorrow.
