Booked in for 8 nights, booked out after 1, room was tiny, old, run down and dirty, we complained and were offered a worse one, so left first thing the next day. We found a much better hotel in a better location and much cheaper, not sure how a hotel anywhere can charge so much for such a poor room.

Spent two nights at Nob Hill hotel. Was supposed to stay four nights. Insect bites were all over my arms, legs and neck after two nights. It is still not sure if it's from flea or beg bug, maybe both. The bites were not the worst part though.
I realized it was insect bite and it was from the hotel the second night. I was too busy during the day that I don't pay too much attention about the itches. When I realized it, I immediately took some photos and talked to the front desk. But they only offer my to either switch room or check out with charge of the two nights!
What happened after was I dragged my luggage on the street at 12 am trying to find another hotel.
When I got back home, I complained this to the hotel and asked for the full refund of the first two nights and full compensate for the other two nights. It is their fault that I need to find another hotel and spend much more than I was supposed to. But after a refund receipt email, no response any more.
It is not a professional response to this and very irrespective to their customer. Not to mention their low hygiene standard. 0/10, not recommend.

When you first come in the hotel looks renovated and much cleaner than the rooms. The property is very old and it really needs to have a complete renovation not only cosmetic updates to the lobby area. The front desk staff was friendly.
Our room was small with clean linens but the carpet was absolutely revolting! It was so old and dirty that we wore shoes all the time. The bed was so old and soft that it felt like a hammock. We asked for a bed board and they had never heard of such a request. The bed frame was metal and the legs were sticking out so far that in the middle of the night anyone could break a toe on it. Luckily we wore our shoes all the time! Not coming back.

A busy Fleet Week should’ve brought out the best in the Nob Hill Hotel. Instead, and hopefully, it was at its worst. Its shabby, old, and dated rooms were cramped and dirty (we had two). There was MOLD growing in the floor drain and in the shower stall in the bathroom! How do I know? The smell hit me the minute I walked into the room. The carpeted floor was so old and dirty, I had to keep my shoes on. Continental breakfast consisted of processed white breads, packets of sugary instant oatmeal, windfall out of season apples, bananas, and a few dry oranges. The coffee and juices from concentrate were what one would expect. No real cream. They advertise valet parking, but DIDN’T HAVE ROOM FOR OUR CAR!! We will NEVER stay there again.
Two positives: 1. The staff was friendly. 2. Safe location.

We had made a reservation for two couples on Sept 17 and had the confirmation thru Expedia/hotels.com. When we arrived...frazzled after being evacuated with my Boston sister and husband who were visiting us during this difficult time...we were told that they had no rooms due to some problem that occurs "occasionally" with this booking service!!! We were struggling for two hours to locate another hotel ..using both Expedia (who owed us big!) and our own efforts... and no one came thru. Just as we were going to give up, there was a shift change at Reception and our savior Lorenzo came on. Thru some magic, he was able to provide us with two lovely rooms for the night!! He is a truly charming and compassionate...an excellent employee and human being!!
The rooms were nicely decorated with very comfortable beds. Old San Francisco feel! Would stay there again!
