InnKeepers Cindy and Gary excellence in guest experience was exemplary and stellar. From the very first hello to the warm goodbye - we enjoyed exquisite daily breakfast cuisine served with warmth and sincerity.
Our room, the Marsh was resplendent with old world charm and contemporary B&B style.
We will be selecting North Lodge in Oakland on our return visit next year.
We miss Cindy and Gary already...
Outstanding B & B

This is a beautiful B&B near the center of Asheville. The owner/manager made us feel truly welcome. This B&B offers a variety amenities including gourmet breakfasts each morning. Ample parking is available. owner/manager offered a great deal of local information including restaurant recommendations. We appreciated the great service and welcoming atmosphere for this B&B. We would most definitely stay here again. The B&B had computer services with printer for guests. Soda drinks were made available and free for guests along with home baked cookies and pralines.
Awesome Bed and Breakfast in the Beautiful City of Asheville

After reading many reviews of bed and breakfast venues in Asheville, we decided on the North Lodge. We are so glad that we did. From the moment we were greeted by Gary at the front door, we felt like we were at home. Gary was so warm and welcoming. He showed us all around the property and then made suggestions for restaurants and activities in the area. One of the bonuses is that we were able to buy tickets to the Biltmore here and not have to wait in line at the Biltmore--the tickets were even less expensive to buy from him and they were good for 2 days. The house is in a very convenient location and everything was very easy to locate. We stayed in the Magnolia room and it was fabulous. It was a little larger than some of the rooms, and it had a king-sized bed, a gas fireplace, large bathroom, and a sitting area. The attention to detail was fabulous. Cindy had even placed homemade pralines or chocolate candies by our bed at night. The linens on the bed were to die for! I want to find out where they came from. They were the most luxurious sheets I have ever slept on.
Cindy's breakfasts each morning were greatly anticipated after reading the printed menu the night before. She is a master at her trade! Everything was presented beautifully (usually in 3 or 4 courses with an explanation of each one as it was presented.) The food was just fabulous. We enjoyed getting to meet the other guests in the house at breakfast and having interesting conversations with them.
I hope that we will have the opportunity to visit Asheville again and we would definitely stay here again.
Relaxing Weekend Getaway, Close to Downtown

My wife and I head up to Asheville 3-4 times a year and typically stay at hotels. When heading up for a wedding we decided to stay at a Bed and Breakfast this time around to avoid the annoyance of yet another cookie cutter, over priced, Asheville hotel.
We came across North Lodge and stayed in the Library room. The room was well appointed, clean, and comfortable, and the home was very welcoming. The hospitality of Gary and Cindy strikes the perfect balance of helpful and not overbearing. This is the best Bed and Breakfast we have stayed at by far. The location is in a quiet neighborhood near the hospital area, and is just a few minute Lyft or Uber away from all downtown has to offer. Book your stay here, park your car and take a Lyft into downtown to enjoy all Asheville has to offer without having to deal with the traffic and parking nightmare!
Excellent Getaway

Hubby and I decided to get away at the last minute for our 25th Anniversary. We planned on revisiting Biltmore after 16 years and didn't just want to stay in a place to lay our head down and shower. I searched for B&B's and came across North Lodge. I am one to read reviews and was sold... luckily being so short notice there was availability. So glad I went with my gut and booked the Tiffany Room for 2 nights. Gary and Cindy are wonderful hosts... Gary met us upon arrival and took us on a short tour of their quaint home. Perfect for feeling at home. The first night we met another couple and chilled in the living room exchanging life stories. The next morning was a pleasant experience meeting the other guests and enjoying a wonderful breakfast prepared by Cindy. You can tell she puts a lot of thought and passion in preparing her meals detailing before each course what is being served. The Tiffany room is cozy and comforting w/ a bed "To Die For" I thought our bed at home was comfortable... Oh No, the bedding is like sleeping on clouds. All in all the stay was delightful and not only will we go back we will refer The North Lodge to friends and family. Thank you Gary & Cindy for making us feel like your home was ours.
