Aging building is ok it’s makes up for the location. But no excuse for lack of cleanliness.
Most rooms were overnight or a few days at most. We had a long stay. 9 nights top sheet only changed once. Bins not emptied or toilet clean over the weekend. Vacuuming was not done every day even in rooms that were vacated. The receptionist was flip and full of excuses. Sheets for beds that were vacated were stacked on dirty carpet on staircase waiting to be put on beds. Shabby does not have to be dirty. Did not take up breakfast offer, easy to understand why.

I spent 2 nights here while I was attending a court hearing in Sydney. When I called to book I specifically asked if there were any stairs to the room I booked. The answer was no. Please be aware that some people don't consider steps to be stairs. For us with physical limits, steps are stairs. I parked in front and there were 5 very steep stairs to climb up. Parking was terrible. There were also 4 steps up to the office to check in and out. I didn't participate in breakfast so I don't know what that was like. Room was very small and became very warm with the heat on 19. If you were going to be out all day at meetings or tourist things it would be OK. Parking was $10 a night.

This is budget, but tidy and clean. My suite at the back of the building was well away from any road noise. The staff are helpful and friendly. The hotel, in a small older style, is close to good public transport. Get yourself an Opal card to use for economical travel anywhere around Sydney and beyond (within New South Wales).

Very basic accommodation and breakfast. Staff were pleasant and friendly. Parking was abysmal. None was available at the hotel but they provided some very tight spots in an area around some flats nearby. It was hard to get in and out of the allocated spots. The location was central, 15 minutes walk to Mater hospital and there were a couple of great cafes for lunch and breakfast five minutes walk away.

Due to a very last minute business trip to Sydney and what must have been a conference taking up most of the accommodation options in the area, I stayed for 1 night at the North Shore Hotel.
The hotel is walking distance from the central business area of North Sydney and across the road from a large field / park.
My room was satisfactory - very old and has definitely seen better days. Ultimately it did the job as a place to sleep however I wouldn't rush back.
