Just don't. $495 a night. The corridors stink, the carpet is wrinkled and stained, the rooms are dated. The breakfast is stewed all morning in Aldi pots and It is not worth it and many better hotels in Canberra.

Service was excellent from check in to check out.
Couple of issues with the bill on checkout, in overcharging, but sorted out fairly soon thereafter.
Pool and sauna are very good and clean. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, although the bathroom is a little outdated. Breakfast was good as well.

Arrived early and very happy that our room was ready. Nice room, very comfortable, convenient location. Bed was comfy, but pillows a bit hard. Staff were very helpful. Restaurant very nice and enjoyed the buffet breakfast, especially as we had the $1.00 breakfast special. Would stay here again, when next visiting Canberra.

I would just like to send a thank-you note in praise of your fabulous staff.
We (my husband, brother and I) travelled to Canberra on the 3rd November with the horrendous task of dealing with the police etc after my older brother was tragically killed in an accident on 1st November. From the minute we arrived at the Novotel I felt at ease.
However, on the very first night I found it hard to sleep, due to the stressful situation and my snoring husband in close proximity!
The next morning I approached the Front Office to see if there were any rooms available with separate a bedroom. I spoke with Darian, and the lovely Ashley Chiera who was just so understanding and helpful. Ashley said she had the perfect room “suite” for me and it would be all ready when we returned at the end of another long day of dealing with my deceased brother’s matters.
To come “home” to the Novotel on that second night was just such a relief. The gorgeous Ashley had provided us with the perfect room. The Jolimont Suite. Complete with chocolates and ear plugs for me!!!! Wow!
Ashley was certainly my angel in disguise. She is an incredible employee and an absolute asset to your hotel. Ashley, and the rest of your wonderful staff made our time in Canberra so much easier to bear. Thank-you.
I understand this is not your department, but I would like to pass on a heartfelt thanks to “Jay” in Room service. Each night we came home from an exhausting day, showered, watched some tv and ordered room service. Jay was amazing. He looked after us so well, and he also is an asset to the Novotel. Could you please kindly pass on this praise to the right department.
So once again, thank-you. Your staff are amazing. We will actually be back in Canberra on 27th November to finalise the rest of my brother’s belongings. And also to attend the memorial they are having for him at the Calvary Hospital on 30th November. Of course we have booked again with the Novotel. I cannot wait to come back.

Recently stayed in this hotel for business. Smooth check-in with friendly staff. Room was good with all ammenities. Just a short stroll to the Mall and shops. Bus station is just beside the hotel which was handy. Fully recommended for short stays.
