Poor reception
Hilary Ron 30/05/2017 14:28Our coach party was held up for over 2 hours on the motorway so we arrived very late and exhausted about 10.30 pm. We were not told the lifts had not been working since a fire practice that afternoon., we had to find that out ourselves! The girl on reception could not have been less concerned and said we would have to use the stairs - despite many of our fellow travellers being elderly and infirm. We were on the 6th floor!
I believe eventually a manager came to reactivate the lifts with a card which only took a moment. The attitude of the girl on reception was totally uncaring and inefficient.That was no way to treat elderly guests who had been travelling for over 15 hours.
Good hotel, perfect location.
Robin ton 17/05/2017 18:05We stayed for the weekend and where lucky to be able to park in front for free.
Staff was very helpful and the room was clean and good. Facing the brewery might not attracked everybody, but we liked it.
As we wanted soem advice on where to eat and find a good wine bar, we asked the staff and they gave us all kinds of useful tips. And indeed we had a great meal and enjoyed some good wines.
City center and station are in walking distance, so the location is good.
The full breakfast we con not comment on as we are more modest eaters in the morning. But the light alternative offered was perfect and we loved the warm croissants.
A good choice in Leuven
MrsBWoosteron 12/05/2017 21:31A good central location, a short walk from the station and town centre. This is a modern hotel good for business stays. The staff are very welcoming. The rooms are a good size and well equipped although I do find the pillows uncomfortable. The rooms can also be hot, but the air conditioning is effective and quiet. The breakfast is good and I would recommend the burgers on the restaurant menu.
Good, up-to-date business hotel
12Knocksinnaon 05/05/2017 20:35Anyone who knows the Novotel chain knows what you get when you stay there. This Novotel is well up to standard. Bedroom was good and spacious and a big bed, bathroom very good, meeting rooms worked well, breakfast boring but what you expect in a business hotel. Good, free wi-fi. The location is a walk away from the train station and shopping area but this might not be a problem if you're there for business. A small amount of parking is available underground.
Grand Prix Visit
Erin Con 05/05/2017 14:47Nothing bad to say about this hotel: the food in the bar downstairs was amazing, the hotel was clean, welcoming, quiet and friendly, the rooms were lovely and the staff were incredible polite and helpful. Very professional but not too rigid, all smiles and chatty. I had breakfast each morning and really enjoyed it, tons of choice and very tasty.
Had a wonderful stay to see the GP at Spa and enjoyed every moment. I never enjoyed Stella Artois until I tried it at this hotel and now I like it! (The Stella factory is right across the road.) I never went into Leuven to see the sights but some people I talked to did, and I believe the hotel is close to local bars and such. I would definitely recommend this hotel to people.
