We stayed at this hotel for four nights. A great service from the reception team - happy to help in any way they could. Room very comfortable and clean. Great facilities and free mini bar (although limited to four drinks including one alcoholic drink). Good location - about four stops from the centre on the metro. Good availability of taxis and a bus stop not far away where the sightseeing bus stops. Use of internet and computers (x2) in the reception area with free printing available. Good quality and variety at breakfast and nice restaurant/bar area which we visited one evening. The reception staff found out it was my birthday and left a platter of fruit, cake and chocolate, along with a lovely note. This was a really nice touch - thank you. A safe was available in the room, laundry service, t.v., and a music box.

It's well situaded at city centre near a subway station and in a walking distance from the main square Marques do Pombal.
The staff at the front desk is nice but not helpful . No Concierge .
Rooms are very poorly decorated and the bathrooms very basic.
Service is less than average.
There is a long line to have breakfast ,not included in the rate, and quite vulgar. No privacy at all. The tables are all next to the others.
It's mainly for families with children ,so if that is your case it could suit you.There are toys and computers for children at the lobby.
Very poor bar,which is part of a very poor restaurant .
Price : reasonable ,but not worht it.
So,my opinion is: Avoid!

All in all it was very nice and clean. The bed and pillows were super comfortable and there was no noise to disturb my sleep. I personally don't like the carpet floors but they were clean anyway. It was a very comfortable night overall and I didn't even need to turn on the AC which I always try to avoid as much as possible. Also there were a lot of options for breakfast and the food was excellent.

We chose the Novotel as you always know what you are going to get and we were not disappointed. It was well placed- the metro is a 10 min walk as is El Corte Ingles, the large Spanish department store but the area is quiet. The breakfasts were excellent and we also had dinner in the restaurant one night and that was excellent too and very reasonably priced.

No surprise in the room standard room in the Novotel chain. À location à little bit far fromage center and fromage the métro. Sympatic staff. A Nice breakfast but to long to accès to the restaurant. Waiting too Michel between dishes in the restaurant food .limited choice for lunch and diner and à limited choice
