Just finished staying here and was impressed. Place worked very well, good location, good hotel staff, rooms perfect for what we wanted and clean.
Only one thing I think lacking was the staff
in the restaurant were difficult to deal with.
Not proactive. Everything else was great !

Stayed here for the third time in the last 12 months. Rooms, bed and pillows very comfortable. Service has always been pleasant and efficient. Breakfast room warm ambience and buffet pretty well covers all hot and cold options. I use it especially for convenience to Underground (Southwark) which is 100m from the hotel. Good also for people going to the O2 for an event - no more than 15 minutes direct.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The on line check -in and -out processes are good. Executive room was comfortable and well maintained. Corner room on the 13th floor had great views particularly as there are two windows each with a different aspect. The corner room is a little quirky in lay out so making it feel smaller than I suspect it was; seating area next to one of the windows but precluded watching TV from there.
I had been upgraded during my last stay there to a suite, which is a lovely room with lots of space. Breakfasts are good with lots of choice. Sunday morning is the busiest morning, as might be predicted, and need a bit of negotiating/navigating although restaurant staff do their best to keep things moving.

Location: directly at Blackfriars Street; only two minutes to Soutwark Metro Station (Jubilee-Line); Buses to Holborne, Westminster, City nearby; in Walking distance to New Tate Gallery
Buidlng: realtiv new, together with IBIS in one Block; street busy; open entrance hall, with boths, Restaurant, bar, designed very well; 3 Elevators, you never wait
Rooms: new, not to small, good size; well equiped, safe; bathroom is very clean and great; I like the shower a lot
Breakfast: very good realtiv to other UK-Hotels, not the Standard as is Continental euope, but for the UK is more than fine
Service: great Service staff, very helpful and friendly

We spent a night at the Novotel celebration our 5 year old boys birthday. The hotel is a five minute walk from Southwark tube station. Our welcome was great with a gift to our son. We stayed in room 302 which has great views of the shard. Our room was decorated with birthday balloons and a birthday card for our son. We received two complementary glasses of proscesso and a soft drink which went down smoothly. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious, lovely walk in shower with special affect glass and rain full shower head. Complimentary shower gels, shampoo and soap too. We enjoyed an evening swim, lovely pool although a little cold, with spa pool area. Nice touch having music playing under the water. We had a very nice breakfast. Our son was so happy to see his name on our table which had also been nicely decorated for his birthday with gifts and his favourite angry birds. chamo is absolutely amazing. I’ve never experienced such a great service from a hotel before. chamo really makes a fuss of his guests and our son really felt like a vip. We had a fantastic weekend in London made all the more special by staying at the Novotel. Thanks again to all the wonderful staff working there and especially chamo
